The rooms themselves surprised me too; they managed to squeeze in modern amenities (the shower pressure is actually decent, which anyone who’s traveled in Italy knows is a minor miracle) without losing that Florentine character. The air conditioning works properly – crucial if you’re visiting in summer when those stone streets turn into ovens.

What really sold me on this place was the staff’s approach to recommendations.
