What really got me was the attention to details you don’t expect: proper shower pressure, blackout curtains that actually work, and – this might sound weird – but the WiFi reaches every corner of the place. You’d be surprised how rare that is in Italian accommodations.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to experience Viareggio beyond the tourist strip. Sure, you can walk to the beach clubs and the famous carnival route in about ten minutes, but you’re also close to where locals grab their morning cappuccino. There’s this little bar around the corner that does the best brioche – the guy behind the counter started recognizing me after three days, which felt pretty authentic. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle during peak season (July and August get pretty crazy), but Elena’s team actually helped sort that out without me even asking. The whole check-in process was smooth too – none of that awkward waiting around in a lobby situation since it’s apartments, but someone was always available when I needed them. I’d definitely go back, especially in late spring or early fall when Viareggio has that perfect balance of good weather and fewer crowds. It’s one of those places where you feel like you’re staying somewhere, not just passing through.
