Cappuccini Florence Family & Group 3 Bedrooms Jacuzzi Fast Wi-Fi Air Conditioned Tram
Florence, ItalyLook, I’ve stayed in a lot of Florence accommodations over the years, and this place on Via Romagnosi actually surprised me – in the best way possible. You know what caught me off guard? The moment you walk into this three-bedroom setup, it doesn’t feel like a typical hotel at all. It’s more like your friend’s really nice apartment, except your friend happens to have excellent taste and a jacuzzi in the bathroom. The Careggi-Rifredi area might not be the first neighborhood tourists think of, but honestly, that’s part of what makes this spot work so well. You’re away from the chaos of the centro storico but still connected – there’s literally a tram line right there (hence the name, I guess), and it’ll get you to the Duomo in maybe 15 minutes without the hassle of driving through Florence’s medieval maze of streets.
The family who runs this place clearly gets what travelers actually need. The Wi-Fi is legitimately fast – I mean, I was video calling back home without any of those awkward frozen-face moments. The air conditioning works properly, which might sound basic but you’d be amazed how many Italian places still think a ceiling fan counts as climate control. Each bedroom has its own character, and the jacuzzi… well, after a day of walking around Oltrarno or climbing up to Piazzale Michelangelo, it’s exactly what your feet are begging for. The kitchen is fully stocked too, which matters more than you’d think. There’s a little Coop supermarket about two blocks away on Via Reginaldo Giuliani, and picking up some fresh bread and prosciutto for breakfast beats hotel continental spreads any day.
What really sold me on this place was the neighborhood vibe. You’re close enough to walk to the Fortezza da Basso when they have exhibitions, but you’re also in this genuine residential area where you hear Italian conversations at the local bars, not tourist chatter. The Sant’Apollonia market is within walking distance if you want to see how actual Florentines shop for vegetables. Parking is straightforward here – none of that white-knuckle driving through the ZTL zones downtown. I mean, the 9.4 rating makes sense when you consider you’re getting space for a whole group, hotel-level cleanliness, and you’re still connected to everything that matters in Florence without paying centro storico prices or dealing with centro storico crowds. It’s one of those places where you end up staying longer than planned because it just… works.

Guest Reviews
What could be improved: No complaints at all.
What could be improved: It took us a moment to figure out how to use the oven and the toaster as they were different to ones we had used before, but once we had worked these out all was fine. Thanks for an amazing stay :)
What could be improved: Noting such
Although we ate all our dinners out, we had breakfast in the flat. There is a very large Co-Op near the apartment (on the scale and quality of a Von’s supermarket), where we purchased cereal, coffee, yogurt, fruit, milk, juice and anything else we needed.
Near the Leopoldo tram stop, there is an upscale Cafe and Bakery (Pasticceria Caldana) with outdoor seating. On the same street as the flat, about two blocks away, is an excellent Italian restaurant, Fratelli Briganti. You will not be disappointed!
We loved the flat and the location.
What could be improved: Nothing
What could be improved: Everything was good, but for saying something, location is good but it's not city centre, although you can easily reach it by tram just in 3-4 stops.
What could be improved: There wasn’t air conditioning in 2 of the bedrooms and there wasn’t enough space for 8 of us to seat and eat
What could be improved: It was very hot and while the property is advertised as air conditioned, it is actually partially air conditioned so the rooms without air conditioning were hot.
What could be improved: street parking was a challenge, very limited so we had to book our car in a nearby garage, but we were warned parking could be tricky. just plan ahead and it won't be an issue
