Agriturismo Due Ponti
Chianni, ItalyYou know what? Finding Agriturismo Due Ponti feels like stumbling onto one of those places that locals have been quietly enjoying for years. It’s tucked away on Strada Di Miemo β honestly, you’ll probably miss the turnoff the first time because it’s not some flashy resort entrance, just a simple gate that opens up to this beautiful working farm about 15 minutes outside Chianni proper.
The whole place has this lived-in authenticity that’s getting harder to find in Tuscany these days. I mean, you’re literally staying on a farm where they’re still producing olive oil and wine, so don’t be surprised if you wake up to the sound of tractors or catch sight of the owner checking on the olive groves from your window. The rooms are in these converted stone buildings that probably date back a couple centuries β thick walls that actually keep things cool during those brutal July afternoons, and you can hear the cicadas going crazy in the evenings. The furnishings strike that perfect balance between rustic and comfortable… well, maybe the WiFi struggles a bit in some corners, but honestly, that’s half the charm of disconnecting out here.
What really gets me about this place is how it sits in the landscape. You’re surrounded by rolling hills dotted with cypress trees and medieval villages that look like they haven’t changed since the Renaissance. The pool area β and this is key β faces west toward Volterra, so sunset aperitivos are pretty much mandatory. The owners, the Bernardini family, have been working this land for generations, and they’ll casually mention which olive trees are 300 years old while pouring you a glass of their own Chianti. Speaking of which, the breakfast spread includes their own honey, jam, and fresh bread that’s… well, it’s the kind of thing that makes you understand why Italians get so passionate about food. You’re about 40 minutes from the coast if you want to hit the beaches near Cecina, but honestly, once you settle into the rhythm of this place β long lunches under the pergola, afternoon naps, evening walks through the vineyards β you might not want to leave. The 9.1 rating makes total sense because it delivers exactly what it promises: authentic Tuscan farm life without sacrificing comfort, run by people who genuinely care about giving you a real taste of the region.

Guest Reviews
What could be improved: Very poor Wifi internet, most of time - no phone connection. That's all, everything else was perfect.
Thank you very much for the opportunity, we had a great time. It was a clean and fair accommodation.
Car was parked in a closed yard and this was also important for me.
Everything was fine.
Thank you,
What could be improved: The phone service in the area was not always working. But we went to relax. :)
What could be improved: No dislikes - even the local fox was friendly.
The apartment we lived in has a big kitchen with everything needed, a bathroom and a large bedroom. We really appreciated the coffee and the cantuccini. We went on March and inside the appartment was cold, but we like having 18 degrees inside, so for us it was not a problem. I like that we were notified that an extra charge for the heating will be applied. It's also written on the description of the location.
The house has a lovely garden with pools and barbeque for the warm season. The landscape is breath taking.
The check-in was very fast and the host very kind.
What could be improved: Everything was great ;)
