Villa Cesi Resort & Spa
Impruneta, ItalyFirst Impressions
When you first pull up to Villa Cesi Resort & Spa, you’ll immediately understand why couples rate this place so highly — there’s something genuinely romantic about the setting. The property sits on Via delle Terre Bianche in Impruneta, which translates to “white earth street,” and honestly, that name captures the essence perfectly. You’re surrounded by rolling Tuscan hills dotted with olive groves, yet you’re only about 20 minutes from Florence’s historic center. The free private parking is actually a bigger deal than you might think, especially if you’ve ever tried navigating Italian city centers with a rental car.
The Tuscan Countryside Setting
Impruneta itself is one of those gems that most tourists miss — it’s famous for its terracotta production and has this authentic, lived-in feel that’s becoming harder to find in Tuscany. From Villa Cesi Resort & Spa, you can walk into the town center in about ten minutes, where locals still gather at the morning market and the pace feels refreshingly unhurried. The location strikes that perfect balance where you feel immersed in real Italian countryside life, but Florence’s museums and restaurants are still totally accessible. I mean, you get the best of both worlds without the tourist crowds that swamp places like San Gimignano.
The Resort Experience
The spa element here isn’t just a marketing add-on — they’ve created spaces that actually feel restorative rather than clinical. The facilities blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings, and you know what really impressed me? The attention to creating quiet spaces where you can just sit and take in those Chianti hills views. The rooms vary quite a bit depending on which part of the property you’re in, but even the standard accommodations have that warm Tuscan character with terracotta floors and wooden beams. Some rooms open directly onto terraces where you can have your morning coffee while watching the mist lift off the vineyards.
Breakfast and Dining
The breakfast spread here is honestly one of the most comprehensive I’ve encountered at a Tuscan property this size. They cover all the bases — continental, Italian, full English, American, even gluten-free options — but what sets it apart is the quality of the local ingredients. The Italian selection features proper regional specialties, not just generic pastries, and they source from local producers in the area. You’ll find yourself lingering over breakfast longer than planned, partly because the food is excellent and partly because the morning light streaming across the dining terrace is just too good to rush past.
Why Guests Love It
Recent guests consistently rate the location as exceptional, and after spending time here, that makes complete sense. Villa Cesi Resort & Spa gives you authentic Tuscany without the isolation that some countryside properties can feel like. You’re close enough to Florence for day trips, surrounded by wineries for afternoon tastings, yet the property itself feels like a retreat from the world. The combination of genuine hospitality, thoughtful amenities, and that unbeatable Tuscan setting creates something special — the kind of place where you actually relax instead of just checking items off a sightseeing list.
Apartments in Tuscany suit slow travelers with stone fireplaces, countryside terraces, and farmhouse kitchens.

Guest Reviews
What could be improved: Liked it all and felt comfortable from first arrival, but pool looked like it needed a clean. Gym was small, though had one of main pieces of equipment
What could be improved: Our hire car fell through and made our stay here extremely inconvenient. Unless you have your own car I do not recommend staying here.
What could be improved: Restaurant lacked atmosphere and the food was pretty good expensive.
What could be improved: The gym had most equipment but could have done with a weights bench. Lacking a lunch menu/ snack menu.
What could be improved: Although we had a good sized room, the shower was very small.
Breakfast had a good selection, but all of the hot food like pancakes, eggs, sausages that would normally be hot, were cold and did not appear to have any way of being kept warm.
Coffee in the room would be nice, as we only had Teas...
If you are susceptible to Mosquito bites, bring your insect repellent, as we were not even there 24 hours and were mullered with bites after first night eating in restaurant. The other times we ate indoors, but were still batting them away at dinner unfortunately :-(
The location is perfect although it was far from pienza and san gimignano (1 hour and a half by car)
But i choose it because it’s quite and to connect with nature
What could be improved: The shower was old .
Our room was full of aunts , but when i told the staff about it they give us another room which was so clean
What could be improved: There was a huge party (50th reunion?) there and parking was terrible when we returned from dinner (and the people arriving to the party with their cars were very rude, so much so that I felt a bit unsafe after being yelled at and gestured while getting into a tight spot by the gate. I was a bit concerned that my rental car would be damaged and had my son walk out with me after the party ended to move it.) The music was so loud until midnight or so that I had to use earplugs and we were not the closest room-wise. Anyone closer without earplugs or with children would not have been able to sleep. There should be some private parking reserved for registered guests or at least an explanation that there would be an event that night so be aware of the parking situation and noise. it was a Friday or Saturday night, but the music was ridiculously loud. Also to charge for the gym amenities is not worth what is available.
What could be improved: A bit noisy at the end of the shift of the restaurant, a lot of bottle and plates noise.
What could be improved: Temperature in the room too hot
