You know what? I’ve driven past this place probably a dozen times heading to the Chianti region and never really noticed it until a friend insisted we stay here instead of Florence proper. Agriturismo Vecchio Borgo Di Inalbi sits on Via Delle Terre Bianche – honestly, the name should’ve been a clue because the whole area has this gorgeous white clay soil that’s perfect for olive groves. It’s about fifteen minutes south of Florence, tucked into the hills around Impruneta, and I mean properly tucked – you’ll miss the turnoff if you’re not paying attention.

The place feels like someone’s well-loved family compound that they’ve opened up to guests, which… well, that’s exactly what it is. The main building has that weathered Tuscan stone thing going on, but it’s not trying too hard to be rustic-chic like some places. The rooms are actually comfortable – good beds, decent Wi-Fi (crucial for us), and those thick walls keep things surprisingly quiet even when there’s a wedding party in the courtyard. Speaking of which, they do host events here, so maybe check when you book if you’re not in the mood for celebrations. The pool area is where I spent most mornings with coffee – it overlooks the valley and you can see all the way to Florence on clear days. There’s something deeply satisfying about watching the morning fog lift off the vineyards while you’re planning your day.

What really sets this place apart is the location knowledge the family shares. They steered us toward this tiny ceramics workshop in Impruneta’s old town that we never would’ve found otherwise – turns out the whole area is famous for terracotta, who knew? The breakfast spread changes based on what’s actually growing on the property, so in September we had fresh figs and late summer tomatoes that tasted like sunshine. Paolo (I think he’s the son?) gave us incredibly specific directions to avoid tourist traps in Florence and suggested taking the back roads through Greve in Chianti instead of the main route. He was right – way more scenic and hardly any traffic. The parking situation is straightforward, by the way – just a gravel lot, nothing fancy but totally adequate. Check-in was relaxed, the kind of place where they’ll hold your bags if you arrive early and show you around properly instead of just handing you a key card. It’s that sweet spot between professional and personal that’s hard to find these days.

Paradise in Tuscany The property was a true resemblance of Italian culture, with its location on the Tuscan landscape, its impeccable maintenance of the rooms, pools, and restaurant. The service was also wonderful with very nice staff from the beginning of our stay checking-in with the receptionist who even gave us recommendations of where to go all the way to waiters and the rest of the staff that made us feel at home. The restaurant was also a great experience with exceptional food. The complementary breakfast was delicious with various drinks, pastries, and other foods leaving me very satisfied. I will very much recommend to stay in this property and look forward to coming back.

What could be improved: There was nothing bad about the property, only good things.

Great location, facilities and staff - have stayed twice now in 3 years - would highly recommend. Stayed here for the second year on our road trip from England to Puglia as it was dog friendly with acrea of olive groves and vineyards to walk through. Great resturaunt with wonderful selction of local food along with great breakfast selection in the morning. Various roms spaced around the grounds and large pool. Rooms vary in size but well fitted out with all facilities required. Very helpful staff from check in onwards and they have oil and wine production on site so sampled their wine in the resturaunt and oil to take with us which was also tasty.

A beautiful and great Agriturismo to stay at in Tuscany with amazing views. The grounds were beautiful with all of the different plants, including the lemon trees scattered throughout. The views surrounding the property were amazing. The restaurant was great and the breakfast spread was one of the best we had at all of the places we stayed at throughout. We ended up buying some of their olive oil and honey, and both were fantastic!

What could be improved: Honestly, I can’t think of anything negative about the stay.

Beautiful. Beautifully landscaped, pools and views. When I locked my keys in room caretaker was willing to come to property to let us in.

What could be improved: Noisy staff talk with leaf blowers at our door for prolonged time each day before 8am made mornings less peaceful than desired. Why doesn’t a winery provide corkscrews in suites?

Great location and very nice staff and friendly Beautiful views, quiet and service was excellent. Very accommodating staff and our dinner was excellent, a little to chilly to jump in pool but we had great weather (May 19-22)

Very relaxing. Beautiful setting. Kind staff. The setting is perfect! Absolutely beautiful and very peaceful during our visit. Simply lovely.

What could be improved: Our room was good, so think there was a bit too much furniture for the size of the room, made it difficult to move around. But otherwise very comfortable bed, nice shower and very clean. Also wish the restaurant had more casual options, the food we had was good but after touring would really like a casual sandwich or simple pasta rather than a full heavy meal.
