During my stay in late spring, the weather was perfect for keeping the windows open, and you could hear the town waking up in the morning – market vendors setting up, the coffee machine hissing at the bar downstairs. It’s those little details that make you feel like you’re actually experiencing Italy, not just passing through it.

What really sealed it for me was the genuine hospitality. Not the over-the-top stuff you sometimes get, but that Italian warmth where they remember your name and ask how your day was. Parking was straightforward too – they sorted that out without any fuss, which honestly can be a nightmare in some Italian towns. The whole experience felt effortless in a way that only happens when a place is well-run but not trying too hard.
