The Rose Suite Siena
Siena, ItalyYou know what struck me first about The Rose Suite Siena? Walking up Via della Galluzza, this narrow medieval street that honestly feels like you’re stepping back in time, and then finding this perfectly restored building that somehow manages to feel both ancient and luxurious. I mean, you’re literally in the heart of Siena’s historic center here – we’re talking a five-minute walk to the Piazza del Campo, but tucked away on a quieter street where you won’t have tour groups stomping past your window at 7 AM.
The Rose Suite itself is… well, it’s one of those places that makes you understand why people fall in love with Tuscany. The rooms have this incredible mix of original architectural details – think exposed beams and stone walls – with modern touches that actually work. The beds are seriously comfortable (and I’m picky about mattresses), plus there’s this attention to detail that you don’t always find, even in four-star places. Little things like really good lighting for reading, enough outlets for your devices, and – this might sound silly – but the shower pressure is fantastic. The staff genuinely seems to care about making sure you’re settled in, not just checking boxes on some hospitality checklist.
What really sets this place apart though is the location knowledge they share. The woman at reception gave us directions to this tiny enoteca around the corner that we never would have found otherwise, and pointed out that if we wanted to avoid the crowds at the Duomo, Tuesday mornings are perfect. She was absolutely right. You’re close enough to everything that matters – the cathedral, the Palazzo Pubblico, all those winding streets full of shops selling everything from leather goods to that incredible Sienese panforte – but you’re staying somewhere that feels like a local secret. The 9.6 rating honestly doesn’t surprise me at all. It’s the kind of place where you find yourself lingering over morning coffee (they do a proper Italian breakfast, by the way) and already planning your next trip back to Siena before you’ve even checked out.

Guest Reviews
Siena is beautiful and our stay made it even more memorable! Thank you!
What could be improved: Everything was perfect!
What could be improved: The bed is comfortable but too low to the ground. Difficult for older couple to get out of.
Also, the host, Pietro, was fantastic he provided suggestions for wonderful local eateries and attractions.
What could be improved: There was not any possibility to leave the luggage before check-in.
What could be improved: all perfect
What could be improved: The bed frame was a tad low. Otherwise great mattress and pillows.
What could be improved: The heat was not quite adequate to make the space warm enough. It was close to adequate but stepping up the heat would be a good touch. The bed was comfortable and excellent bedding but it was a bit low to the ground for older people.
