Soggiorni D’Arte Apartments by Mamo Florence Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Soggiorni D’Arte Apartments by Mamo Florence feels like discovering a well-kept secret in the heart of Florence. This four-star property sits right in the Santo Spirito district, and honestly, you couldn’t ask for a better location if you tried. The building itself has that authentic Florentine charm — you know, the kind where you feel like you’re staying in someone’s beautifully restored family palazzo rather than a typical hotel. The attention to detail in every corner reflects the artistic vision that defines this property.
The Perfect Neighborhood
Santo Spirito is where locals actually live and hang out, which means you’re getting the real Florence experience. You’re literally steps away from the Basilica of Santo Spirito and the bustling piazza where artisans still work their craft. The morning markets here are incredible — fresh produce, local cheeses, and that coffee smell that just follows you everywhere. What’s brilliant is that you can walk to the Ponte Vecchio in about ten minutes, but you’re far enough from the tourist crowds to actually breathe. This neighborhood offers an authentic slice of daily Florentine life that most visitors never experience.
The Apartment Experience
Each apartment here feels thoughtfully designed, blending modern comfort with those classic Florentine touches you’d hope for. The spaces are generous — not cramped like some city accommodations — and the kitchen setups are actually functional if you want to grab ingredients from the local market and cook something simple. The rooms have this lovely natural light that pours in during the day, and honestly, the beds are properly comfortable, which isn’t always a given in historic buildings. Every element has been carefully considered to enhance your stay.
What Makes It Special
The “D’Arte” part of the name isn’t just marketing speak — there’s genuine attention to artistic details throughout the property. You’ll notice carefully curated artwork and design elements that feel intentional rather than generic. The staff really knows their stuff too; they’re locals who can point you toward that perfect little restaurant tucked away in an alley you’d never find on your own. There’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels connected to the neighborhood rather than isolated from it. This connection to the local community sets the property apart from standard accommodations.
Why Guests Love It
The excellent location score makes perfect sense once you’re here — couples especially seem to appreciate the ability to wander the quieter streets in the evening, then pop over to the livelier areas when you want more energy. The combination of space, location, and that authentic Florentine atmosphere is pretty hard to beat. You’re not just visiting Florence; you’re actually living in it for a few days, which is exactly what you want from a place like this. The parking options nearby add another layer of convenience for those traveling by car. This property truly captures the essence of what makes Florence special.
To book a hotel in Tuscany during Palio weeks, visitors balance Siena contrada parades with countryside spa retreats.

Modern, clean, beautiful, comfortable for a group of friends or a family, full kitchen, AC, separate bathrooms, laundry, helpful staff, same cost as a hotel room but share with your friends and whole space, walking distance to everything, quiet

A beautiful (exposed brick), large, apartment in a great neighborhood of Santo Spirito. (This is actually two apartments that have been converted into a single unit. Plenty of room for our group of 9 (6 adults, and 3 large teenagers). A nice size kitchen and living space. Having two sets of washers/dryers was a blessing. Showers were great and hot water lasted for all of us.
Very close to great non-tourist restaurants and a quick hop over the bridge to all the museums and sights of Florence. Convenient, direct walk to main terminal. Apartment manager was excellent, very prompt, and friendly.
Highly recommended and Imwi
Ould definitely stay here again on my next trip to Florence.Robyn from Australia (8/10)
I could not fault the position and it was so good to have a washing machine and dryer. The aircon was very good as well. Security in the building was excellent. Great supermarket nearby, with everything you could possibly want including wine at very good prices.
