Rinidia Bio
You know what really gets me about Rinidia Bio? It’s one of those places that sounds way more rustic than it actually is – and I mean that in the best possible way. When I first pulled up to Le Colombaie (which, honestly, took me three tries to pronounce correctly), I was expecting some basic agriturismo situation. Instead, this 4-star gem sits in the rolling hills around Sovicille like it belongs in a magazine, but without any of that sterile, too-perfect vibe you sometimes get.
The drive from Siena takes maybe 20 minutes through proper Tuscan countryside – cypress trees, olive groves, the whole nine yards. San Rocco a Pilli isn’t exactly a destination most tourists stumble upon, which is probably why the place feels so wonderfully authentic. The staff actually lives in the area, so they’ll tell you about the little trattoria down the road that doesn’t have a sign, or which days the local market is worth hitting up. Check-in was refreshingly low-key – no marble lobby nonsense, just genuine people who seem to actually care about whether you have a good stay.
What really sold me was the attention to the “bio” part of their name. They’re not just slapping that word around for marketing points – the breakfast spread features produce from their own gardens, and you can taste the difference. The rooms manage to feel both rustic and refined (think exposed beams but with excellent Wi-Fi and proper shower pressure). I stayed during late spring, and honestly, waking up to the sound of birds instead of traffic was… well, it reminded me why I travel in the first place. The pool area gets busy around 3 PM when families settle in, but early morning and evening it’s perfect for just floating around and pretending you live there. Parking is easy – just a gravel lot, nothing fancy but plenty of space, which matters when you’re dealing with a rental car and narrow Italian roads. The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’re there; it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Tuscany, but everything they do, they do really well.

Guest Reviews
The room was great and spacious, with two bedrooms and separate bathroom for each, the living room with dining part and kitchenette very good looking and adequate in equipment (there was even a washing machine), small space outside in front for dining or evening sit together and a drink.
Very positive also was that there was AC in all rooms. We originally thought we would not need it, because house is build in such way that it retains relatively low temperature on the inside, but once the outside temps reached 40C, we switched it on at least before the sleep.
All apartments have pretty good wifi connection too. Pool is not very long, but on hot summer days more than enjoyable!
The nearby Siena is beautiful, but it's rather easy to get to few other places (like San Gimignano or Firenze). But we fell in love with Siena on this trip and spent evening there quite regularly.
Last, but not least, opposite the Rinidia property is a little horse farm, where you could take horse riding lessons or simply go for a horse ride with an instructor. Very nice people there too, we really enjoyed that! :-)
