First Impressions

When I first pulled up to Italiana Hotels Florence, I’ll be honest — it’s not what you’d expect from a typical Florence hotel. Located on Viale Europa, this four-star property sits in a quieter residential area, away from the tourist crowds that swarm the historic center. The building has that clean, modern Italian aesthetic that feels refreshingly understated after you’ve spent days dodging selfie sticks near the Duomo. What immediately caught my attention was the parking situation — and I mean that in the best possible way.

The Parking Miracle

You know what’s actually revolutionary in Florence? Free parking. I’m not kidding — finding a spot in this city usually involves either paying through the nose or walking what feels like miles from some sketchy lot. But here’s the thing: Italiana Hotels Florence offers complimentary parking right on-site. If you’re planning to explore Tuscany by car (which, honestly, you should), this detail alone makes the hotel worth considering. I watched other guests practically light up when they realized they wouldn’t be wrestling with Florence’s notorious ZTL zones or hunting for street parking.

The Room Experience

My room was clean and functional — think contemporary Italian design without too much fuss. The beds are comfortable enough, and the bathrooms are modern with decent water pressure (always a concern in older European cities). What I appreciated most was the quiet atmosphere; being slightly outside the centro storico means you’re not dealing with late-night street noise or early morning tour groups. The air conditioning actually works well too, which becomes crucial during those sweltering Tuscan summers.

Location Reality Check

Here’s where you need to set expectations properly. You’re about a 15-20 minute bus ride from the main attractions, or roughly a 30-minute walk if you’re feeling ambitious. The area around Viale Europa is more residential — you’ll find local cafes, a few shops, and actual Florentines going about their daily lives rather than tourist traps. There’s something refreshing about grabbing morning coffee alongside locals instead of competing with tour groups. The bus connections are reliable, and honestly, having that buffer zone from the chaos of central Florence can be a blessing.

Why Couples Keep Coming Back

I noticed quite a few couples during my stay, and it makes sense why this place gets high marks for romantic getaways. The quieter location means you can actually have conversations without shouting over crowds, and there’s something to be said for returning to a peaceful base after intense days of sightseeing. The staff seems to understand this dynamic too — they’re helpful with directions and recommendations without being overly intrusive. Plus, having reliable parking means you can easily escape to those picture-perfect hill towns like San Gimignano or Siena for day trips, then return to your comfortable Florence base without the stress of city center logistics.

The receptionists are really friendly and helpful. The rooms was great, very big and comfortable, it was quite as well. The breakfast was very good and we appreciated they offer barista coffee with breakfast.
The hotel is right to the bus station which made the commute very easy.

The pool and the surrounding area was fantastic. We relaxed at the pool and my children swam so happily. We ordered drinks from the bar and really got to relax. There were a few cute shops walking distance and the bus stop is literally right across the road.
