You know what struck me first about Elena House Apartments? It’s tucked away on Via Felice Cavallotti – this quiet residential street that honestly feels like you’ve stumbled into where actual Italians live, not just where tourists sleep. I mean, you’re literally two blocks from the beach promenade, but there’s something refreshingly normal about the neighborhood. Kids playing in the street in the evening, that kind of thing.

The apartments themselves are… well, they’re what four-star actually means when it’s done right. Not flashy, just really well thought out. The owner (Elena, I assume?) clearly gets that people want space to breathe when they’re traveling. My unit had this little kitchen setup that was perfect for morning coffee and those inevitable late-night gelato sessions – there’s a decent supermarket about a five-minute walk toward the center if you need supplies. What really got me was the attention to details you don’t expect: proper shower pressure, blackout curtains that actually work, and – this might sound weird – but the WiFi reaches every corner of the place. You’d be surprised how rare that is in Italian accommodations.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to experience Viareggio beyond the tourist strip. Sure, you can walk to the beach clubs and the famous carnival route in about ten minutes, but you’re also close to where locals grab their morning cappuccino. There’s this little bar around the corner that does the best brioche – the guy behind the counter started recognizing me after three days, which felt pretty authentic. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle during peak season (July and August get pretty crazy), but Elena’s team actually helped sort that out without me even asking. The whole check-in process was smooth too – none of that awkward waiting around in a lobby situation since it’s apartments, but someone was always available when I needed them. I’d definitely go back, especially in late spring or early fall when Viareggio has that perfect balance of good weather and fewer crowds. It’s one of those places where you feel like you’re staying somewhere, not just passing through.

  Everything about this property is exceptional! It was perfect for two women who wanted two bedrooms and two full baths. We would definitely recommend this spot to anyone coming to Viareggio.

  The apartment is spectacular, we cannot say enough about how amazing our stay was. The location is great, it is very central to the city centre, seaside promenade and easy to move around for day trips to see the surrounding area. Parking is right outside and buses 100 m. away.
  Absolutely the best holiday apartment we have stayed in! The ease of door codes and automatic shutters, fully equipped kitchen, coffee, tea, spices, oil, vinegar, etc. etc. it’s hard to name all the extra touches that were provided. The best of all Elena left us a bottle of Prosecco, juice, sodas and bottled water all chilled in the fridge…. And ice cubes in the freezer, a great added touch.
  The apartment was like having two separate suites with each bedroom having it’s own bathroom, great showers and special body care products that were amazing.
  The view out our window provided a peek-a-boo of the ocean and promenade and was so lovely to have. Lots to watch and not noisy at all. Air conditioning worked excellent and screens on windows if preferred to open at night.
  We hope to return next year for a longer stay!

  We were super pleased with the apartment. It had a great location – directly across from the main promenade and beaches; there were 2 of the best restaurants in town on the ground floor of the building ( but not at all intrusive; there was a brilliant cafe next door for morning coffee; the entrance was very smart – all marble: there was a decent elevator; the parking in a tree lined square right outside was so convenient; Elena, the hostess organised a parking permit for us ( inexpensive ): Elena also could not have been more helpful; she responded instantly to any messages; the apartment was spacious, very well kitted out; decent linen; pristine white towels and bathrobes; 2 hairdryers, washing machine, iron and ironing board; toiletries in the bathrooms; all the kitchen appliances were as new and all worked; good air conditioning ; great TV with all the cable channels you could want. I honestly couldn’t find a single fault with it. We were 4 adults with a nine week old baby. We had a great stay. Thank you Elena

  We were accommodated in the White Apartment, which is really a high quality, exceptional, brand new and unique place in the heart of Viareggio. Elena and Giuseppe are fantastic hosts, they helped us in everything, also in the transfer from and to the airport, gave great recommendations what to visit around and where to have a dinner, and also provided discounts in some restaurants and beach places. They were very kind, extremely helpful and instantly accessible via mobile when we had any questions. The apartment is very well equipped, furnished by a high quality design, and has a central location in the town close to everything (beaches, shops, restaurants, main promenade, grocery stores, molo etc). Even the train station can be reached by a 15 min walk which provides fast access to the beautiful places around (Cinque Terre, Lucca, Pisa etc). Viareggio has a very good atmosphere, with quality beaches and fine sandy shores, good restaurants and bars, and Elena Apartments provide a marvellous place to stay and enjoy a summer holiday. I truly can recommend it to anyone, single / couple / family travelers equally, you will be in very good hands of Elena and Giuseppe.

  We had a great stay at Elena’s house. The apartment is very spacious, luminous, super clean and very well equipped. There is everything you need for your stay, washing machine, coffee, tea, etc. The apartment is very well situated, in a center of Viareggio, very close to the beach, sea and the promenade, with many great restaurants and bakeries around. Elena is a great host and provides a lot of information and help, answered all of our questions and can also arrange the airport transfer. Elena and her husband even helped us to book a parking online. We really appreciated Elena’s hospitality and we will definitely come back!
