The location in Chianciano Terme is actually genius — you’re close enough to the famous thermal baths (about a 10-minute drive) but far enough out to feel like you’ve escaped into proper countryside. I mean, couples absolutely rave about this spot, and I can see why they rate it so highly for romantic getaways. The Madonna Della Rosa area is quintessentially Tuscan, with cypress-lined roads and that golden light that photographers dream about. What’s really nice is that you can easily day-trip to places like Montepulciano or Pienza, but you’ll actually want to come back here in the evenings.

The Accommodations

My room had this wonderful mix of traditional Tuscan elements — think exposed beams and terracotta floors — with modern amenities that actually work properly. The beds are genuinely comfortable (not always a given in agriturismos), and the bathrooms are well-appointed without being overly fancy. What I loved most was the attention to detail in the furnishings — everything feels authentic rather than like someone’s idea of “rustic chic.” The views from most rooms are spectacular, especially if you snag one facing the valley.

Dining & Atmosphere

The on-site restaurant serves exactly what you’d hope for — honest, local cuisine using ingredients from their own farm and the surrounding area. I had some of the best pecorino cheese I’ve ever tasted, and their wine selection focuses on local Tuscan varieties that pair beautifully with the food. The dining room has this warm, convivial atmosphere where you might end up chatting with other guests over a glass of Vino Nobile. Breakfast is a proper spread of local specialties, fresh pastries, and strong Italian coffee that’ll fuel your day of exploring.

  The location is beautiful and the room, dining room and pool all have a beautiful view. There is a small city nearby with everything we needed – a great supermarket, coffee shops and bakeries, and restaurants. Nearby, there are amazing natural sites, as well as cities to visit, and everything is quite close. We went to hot springs in nature, hiked, saw Montepulciano, and visited wineries. Also, during this stay, we had family with us, including a baby, and there was lots of open space and grass for her as well.

  Great location and good space. The view from the balcony was really impressive.

  Super quiet and relaxing place to stay. Cozy and clean room. Good service. What makes the difference is that you are on a farm with animals and a beautiful grape and olive plantation. The pool is wonderful, with a beautiful view of the city and I highly recommend dining at their restaurant, they have super well-prepared and fresh food at an exceptional price. The location is very good because you are just a few minutes away from the famous cities of Tuscany.
