Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Agriturismo il Casalino, I wasn’t entirely sure I was in the right place. The winding road through Pari gets pretty narrow, and your GPS might get a bit confused around those last few turns, but trust me, you’re heading somewhere special. This isn’t one of those glossy resort places where everything feels a bit too perfect. Instead, you’re getting the real deal – a working farm turned accommodation that actually feels like someone’s beloved family property.

The whole setup sits on this gorgeous hillside about 20 minutes from Civitella Paganico, and honestly, the drive alone is worth it. You know what really struck me? The morning sounds. I’m talking about actual roosters (yeah, they’re loud around 6 AM, but somehow it’s charming rather than annoying), the distant bleating of goats, and this incredible silence that city people like me forget even exists. The rooms – well, they’re not huge, but they’ve got this rustic elegance thing down perfectly. Stone walls, wooden beams, and these little touches that make you feel like you’re staying in someone’s carefully restored farmhouse rather than a hotel. The Wi-Fi can be spotty in some corners, which might actually be a blessing depending on what you’re looking for.

What really sets this place apart is how they’ve managed to keep that authentic Tuscan countryside feel without sacrificing comfort. The family running it – they’re genuinely warm people who seem to know every hiking trail within a 15-kilometer radius. They’ll point you toward the best viewpoints (there’s this spot about a 10-minute walk uphill that’s absolutely stunning at sunset) and actually useful advice about avoiding the tourist traps in nearby Montalcino. The breakfast spread features a lot of their own produce, and I mean, the tomatoes alone… it’s like remembering what tomatoes are supposed to taste like. Parking is easy – just a gravel area near the main building – and check-in feels more like being welcomed into someone’s home than a business transaction. The 8.9 rating makes total sense once you’re there; it’s the kind of place that delivers exactly what it promises without trying to be something it’s not. If you’re looking for a pool scene or nightlife, keep looking. But if you want to wake up to rolling hills, eat incredible food, and actually disconnect from the world for a while, this little corner of Tuscany will completely win you over.

  Everything)! Amazing place: location, environment, place has been worked out in great details, owner. And more love and passion was delivered in this place. You able to have an amazing breakfast on the one side of location (where sun rises), sane with dinner (you can have in on one from 3 Atmospheric Terraces from the sunset side and both with a beautiful view on Toscana

  It has a totally Tuscan vibe, just what I expected, especially after the crowds in Florence. You can comfortably enjoy the relaxation of the countryside. The room is spacious and well-designed. The interior also has a relaxed countryside feel, but it is very refined.
  
  It’s close to Siena, but you need to drive to the parking lot around the city, which is not difficult to find a space.

  Amazing views all around the property and we were even able to stargaze at night with the rolling hills and iconic trees in the background! The room was also big and comfortable enough for two and Marco was very nice in giving us some recommendations around the area.
