Agriturismo I Moricci
Peccioli, ItalyFirst Impressions
Tucked away in the rolling hills of Tuscany, Agriturismo I Moricci feels like stumbling upon a well-kept secret. The moment you pull up the gravel drive — and yes, there’s free parking right on site, which honestly is a godsend in this part of Italy — you’re greeted by that quintessential Tuscan farmhouse charm. The property sits in the tiny hamlet of Fabbrica, just outside Peccioli, where the landscape stretches endlessly in waves of olive groves and vineyards. It’s the kind of place where you immediately slow down and take a deep breath.
Location & Setting
What strikes me most about this spot is how perfectly positioned it is for exploring the real Tuscany. Peccioli itself is this charming medieval town that most tourists never discover — you know, the kind where locals still gather in the piazza for evening conversations. The agriturismo’s location has earned a stellar 9.5 rating from guests, and I can see why. You’re far enough from the crowds to feel like you’ve found your own slice of Italy, but close enough to day-trip to places like Volterra or even San Gimignano. Couples especially seem to fall for this setting, rating it 9.5 for romantic getaways.
The Experience
This is where Agriturismo I Moricci really shines — it’s authentic agriturismo living without any of the pretense. The hosts are incredibly responsive (they actually get back to you quickly if you have questions, which isn’t always a given at smaller properties), and there’s this genuine warmth that makes you feel like family rather than just another booking. The farmhouse maintains that rustic Tuscan character while being completely comfortable for modern travelers. You’ll find yourself lingering over breakfast, watching the morning mist roll across the hills, or settling in with a glass of local wine as the sun sets.
Practical Comforts
What I appreciate is how they’ve managed to keep things simple but thoughtful. The rooms have that authentic farmhouse feel — think exposed beams and terracotta floors — but everything works exactly as it should. The property feels intimate without being cramped, and there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that doesn’t try to be everything to everyone. Instead, they focus on what matters: comfortable accommodations, genuine hospitality, and that incredible Tuscan setting that changes with the light throughout the day.
Why Guests Love It
With a 9.5 guest rating, it’s clear that people leave here feeling like they’ve experienced something special. I think it comes down to authenticity — this isn’t a hotel trying to recreate the Tuscan experience, it’s the real thing. You wake up to actual farm sounds, eat breakfast made with ingredients from the surrounding countryside, and spend your days exploring a part of Italy that still feels undiscovered. It’s the kind of place where you find yourself planning your return visit before you’ve even checked out.

Guest Reviews
It was clean in the room and bathroom, inside the house its not hot, but cold, we asked Maria for an extra blanket. In general you can ask her about anything, and she will get you what you need.
We didnt have a kitchen in our room, but we could use the common kitchen, there is a fridge and a cooker, plates etc.
Our room was just the best, with a terrace, so we mostly were spending time there, in the room was a bit dark and chilly, but we slept veeryy well
The swimming pool was cleaned every day.
We had a kettle in our room, that was important for us
I think this is a place where you can find inner peace, and not a place for parties.
We really enjoyed our stay!
What could be improved: Would be great to have a bit more towels, some guests in the end of our trip were loud after 22:00, the bed was a bit short for my partner, as he is 1.95 cm :))
So only small moments, we really liked this place, hope to come back :)
