But you know what? Sometimes being pleasantly surprised is the best kind of travel experience. The location is actually pretty clever once you get it – yeah, you’re about 10 minutes from Arezzo’s medieval heart, but that means you’re not dealing with the narrow cobblestone streets that’ll scrape your rental car, and there’s proper parking (trust me, this matters in Tuscany).

The hotel itself has this modern, clean feel that works well after you’ve spent days wandering dusty hill towns. I mean, don’t get me wrong – the charm of staying in a converted palazzo is nice, but sometimes you just want a shower with decent water pressure and air conditioning that actually works. The staff here gets that most guests are using Arezzo as a base for exploring the broader region, so they’re genuinely helpful with directions to places like Cortona or Montepulciano – not just the touristy stuff, but the back roads that’ll save you time. The breakfast is solid too, with proper espresso and some local pastries alongside the usual international spread. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night; you’re far enough from the autostrada that you won’t hear truck traffic, but close enough that you can easily hop over to Siena or Florence for day trips.

The 7.7 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow you away with luxury, but it delivers exactly what you need without any unpleasant surprises. The rooms are comfortable in that reliable four-star way, and honestly, the value is pretty good for what you get, especially during peak season when places in town are charging premium rates. If you’re the type who wants to fall asleep to church bells and wake up steps from a piazza, this isn’t your spot. But if you’re planning to spend your days exploring the Valdichiana and want a relaxing place to recharge – with easy access to that amazing Saturday antique market in Arezzo – this place actually makes a lot of sense. Plus, there’s something to be said for having a car-friendly hotel when you’re trying to hit multiple Tuscan towns without dealing with ZTL zones and parking nightmares.

  The location was perfect: it is just few hundreds meters from the exit from the highway, on which we were driving to reach our holiday destination. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was very nice, with superfresh croissants.

  Upon arrival, it looks a bit like a set from a James Bond film! Hypermodern architecture and an immense reception hall. It's a wonderful modern hotel, with very friendly staff and beautiful, spacious rooms. Breakfast is 'Italian', with a lot of choice.
  We chose the hotel for the Tesla superchargers: they are abundantly available. Together with lots of parking space.

  Very spaceous, clean, easy access 24h/day, just by the highway. Perfect spot to stay if you are just passing by and need a place to stay for the one night. Breakfast was very good.
