YID D’Azeglio luxury apartment with parking
Florence, ItalyFirst Impressions
Walking up to YID D’Azeglio luxury apartment with parking, you immediately realize you’ve hit the jackpot with location — I mean, you’re literally steps from the Duomo and surrounded by Renaissance Florence at every turn. The building itself has that classic Florentine charm you’d expect from Via Silvio Pellico, and honestly, the fact that there’s dedicated parking in this part of the city feels almost too good to be true. Most travelers don’t realize how rare and valuable a parking spot is in central Florence until they’re circling the narrow streets for an hour with their luggage.
Location & Neighborhood
The San Marco – Santissima Annunziata area is where Florence really shows off — you’re in the thick of everything without feeling overwhelmed by tourist crowds every second of the day. The Accademia Gallery (where Michelangelo’s David lives) is practically around the corner, and you can walk to the Uffizi in about ten minutes if you take the scenic route through Piazza della Signoria. What I love about this particular street is that it connects you to both the artistic heart of Florence and the more authentic neighborhoods where locals actually shop and eat. You’ll find yourself grabbing morning coffee at the same bar as Florentine office workers, which honestly makes the whole experience feel more genuine.
The Apartment Experience
This isn’t your typical hotel room situation — you’re getting a full apartment setup that actually makes sense for couples who want some space to spread out and live like locals for a few days. The kitchen means you can hit the Sant’Ambrogio market and try your hand at cooking with Italian ingredients, or just store the amazing pastries you’ll inevitably buy from local bakeries. The apartment feels thoughtfully designed rather than just thrown together, and there’s something refreshing about having your own front door key instead of dealing with hotel lobby schedules and tourist group chaos in elevators.
The Parking Advantage
Let me tell you something about Florence — finding parking in the historic center is like winning a small lottery every single day. Most accommodations will tell you to park outside the city walls and take public transport, which honestly isn’t terrible, but having your own spot right here changes everything. You can actually take day trips to the Tuscan countryside without the stress of wondering where you’ll park when you get back, and if you’re arriving with luggage after a long drive, you’ll appreciate not having to drag everything through cobblestone streets from some distant parking garage.
Why Guests Love It
Couples consistently rate this place highly because it strikes that perfect balance between being in the center of everything and having your own private retreat to come back to. The combination of the prime location (seriously, that 9.2 location score isn’t just marketing fluff) and the apartment-style setup means you can experience Florence like you’re temporarily living there rather than just passing through. You know what really seals the deal though? When you can walk to dinner at a neighborhood trattoria, stroll back through lamp-lit Renaissance streets, and park your rental car without breaking a sweat — that’s when Florence starts feeling less like a tourist destination and more like a place you could actually call home for a week.
Hotel in Tuscany reservations surge before white truffle fairs when hilltown piazzas brim with foodies.

Guest Reviews
What could be improved: I would've like to have more towles, at least one more for each person. The same for the toilet paper. Also we needed tissue paper in the kitchen....I know this last we should've buy, but we didn't think while we were walking the city, than we found out we need some and we didn't find in the aprtment.Maybe a small box to be left for the guests it would be necessary.
What could be improved: One bedroom with a broken AC. Notice the single bedroom is a walkthrough room to one of the bathrooms.
What could be improved: There were 7 in our party. One set of keys for the 7 of us was inconvenient. For parties our size I'd recommend 2 sets of keys, 3 if they'd fit in the lock box.
The WiFi signal was strong but operated very sluggishly. Don't really know why... might have been our phone carrier.
The apartment is very specious and quite.
Very good customer service.
What could be improved: The facility could be better.
One shower, was not unusable, the sink and tub were blocked. One bed (sofa bed) was totally not comfortable, and one was half broken.
The door to the main bathroom can't be closed properly.
For this price, I would expect a much better facility.
Parking is not free. There is a cost of at least 45€ per day.
Check in time is only at 16:00
And you must leave the place at 10:00
We are quit disappointed, and wouldn't recommend this place for his high price.
We travel alot, and had many different apartments across Italy, for this price, we can find much better
Shame
What could be improved: Location.
What could be improved: The instructions on how to find the lock box were confusing. We were told to look for the keys in a wooden box on the door. in reality, the lock box was in a large wooden storage cabinet that held the utility meters. The box was tucked away in a corner and hard to see. Luckily, we did a video call with staff and the problem was quickly resolved. I would also recommend having three sets of keys when there is a party of five or more people. We all had different things we wanted to do and see and this would have made getting into the apt much more convenient. You could also mention to future guests like several coffee shops and the excellent Ara restaurant is three blocks away on via Silva Pellico.
What could be improved: WiFi did not function while we were there. The issue was never resolved but we were only there for a few days so was not a huge issue.
The coat hanger and umbrellas strategically placed as soon as one enters, was helpful.
Common space ie. the living room cum dining, was welcoming as we were able to comfortable sit around the lounge and enjoy each other's company, nearly somewhat not wanting to leave the unit.
Each room looks out to lush greenery.
Property management was easily reachable via a dedicated group whatsapp set up although there was a delay on the first night, possibly because it was a public holiday the following day. They were also very accommodating when I had trouble getting taxi transport to the train station, helping to call the taxi company to send taxis for us at checkout.
Independent split air conditioning units are available in each room, promising comfort, a HUGE Plus!
If you arrive before check in time, there is a nearby location (Tabaccheria Donatella) less than 3 minutes walk that allows you to store your luggage for price. However, be mindful of the opening and closing hours. Check Bounce for luggage storage.
What could be improved: The apartment, especially bedrooms, foyer and kitchen have no ceiling lights. Dependent on table or floor standing lamps, the light bulbs should be replaced with brighter ones.
The furnishings like the sofa is tired and probably need a spruce up.
The cutlery and crockery could have been cleaner.
Over the stove espresso maker is provided but no coffee powder, Balance unused tea sachets were somewhat obviously left by previous guests.
The freezer was frosted up.
Oddly, the washing machine is stored in the open balcony at the back with no tap installed to the washing trough. Thankfully, the machine functions and washing detergent was provided.
Shampoo and body shampoo lacking, with very minimal provided despite us booking 2 nights for 6 pax.
The apartment has a few steps to manage before reaching the lifts. Those who have mobililty issues should take this into consideration.
If you are driving, best to make prior arrangements with regard to parking and access into the ZTL areas, without which you might end up being fined by authorities.
What could be improved: Hot water was not reliable, apartment smelled a bit musty from age
