First Impressions

Walking up to Wine Apartments Florence Prosecco on Via Laura, you immediately get that “I’m in the real Florence” feeling — none of that touristy hotel chain vibe here. This four-star property sits right in the San Marco district, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better if you tried. The building itself has that authentic Florentine character, with those classic shuttered windows and stone facades that make you feel like you’ve stepped into a postcard.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re actually in a neighborhood where locals live and work, not some sanitized tourist bubble. The Santissima Annunziata area is perfectly positioned between the Duomo and Santa Croce, so you can walk to pretty much everything that matters in about ten minutes. I mean, you’re close enough to hear the bells from the cathedral, but far enough away that you won’t be fighting crowds every time you step outside. The street itself is quiet enough for a good night’s sleep, which — trust me — is harder to find in central Florence than you’d think.

The Apartment Experience

What sets this place apart is that you’re getting an apartment rather than just a hotel room, and that makes all the difference for couples looking for something more intimate. Each unit comes with a proper kitchen setup, which is brilliant if you want to grab fresh ingredients from the nearby Mercato Centrale and cook something together. The spaces feel authentically Florentine — high ceilings, original details, but with modern touches that actually work. You know what I really appreciated? The wine theme isn’t just marketing fluff; they’ve thoughtfully incorporated it into the decor without going overboard.

Practical Comforts

The apartments strike that sweet spot between historic charm and modern functionality. Air conditioning that actually works (crucial during Florence’s sweltering summers), reliable WiFi, and bathrooms that don’t require you to be a contortionist. Storage space is generous too — something you’ll appreciate after a day of shopping in the leather markets. The beds are comfortable enough that you won’t wake up feeling like you wrestled with Renaissance marble all night, and the soundproofing is surprisingly good considering you’re in a centuries-old building.

Why Guests Love It

Couples consistently rave about this place, and after staying here, I totally get why. There’s something romantic about having your own little Florentine hideaway where you can start the morning with coffee on your own terms, then slip out to explore the city. The staff genuinely knows the neighborhood — they’ll point you toward that tiny restaurant around the corner that doesn’t even have a sign, or tell you the best time to visit the Basilica di San Lorenzo when it’s not packed. Plus, with a 9.3 location score, you’re getting that rare combination of being central without feeling like you’re camping in Times Square. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like a temporary Florentine rather than just another tourist passing through.

Tuscany’s hotels pair barrel-aging cellars, fresco breakfasts, and concierge-led Siena cathedral climbs.

We were a group of 7 people and felt very comfortable in the apartment. The location is perfect - very close to Santa Maria del Fiore but on a quiet street.

La ubicación está cerca al centro, pero no es muy transitada por vehículos. No se logró tomar un taxi en la zona y tona caminar mucho. El alojamiento no aplica para desayuno.
