UNA HOTELS Vittoria Firenze
Florence, ItalyFirst Impressions
Walking into UNA HOTELS Vittoria Firenze, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical Florence hotel. The property sits on Via Pisana in a quieter part of the city, which honestly feels like a relief after navigating the tourist-packed centro storico. There’s something refreshingly understated about the place — it doesn’t try too hard to impress, but the attention to detail is obvious from the moment you step inside. The staff actually remembers your name after the first interaction, which you know what, makes all the difference when you’re dealing with travel fatigue.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s the thing about this spot — couples absolutely love it here, and I can see why. You’re far enough from the Duomo crowds to breathe, but close enough that a quick tram ride gets you to all the major sights. The Via Pisana area has that authentic Florentine neighborhood feel, with local cafes and shops that tourists rarely discover. I mean, you’ll find better gelato prices here than near the Ponte Vecchio, and the morning walks through the residential streets give you a glimpse of how locals actually live. Plus, having private parking at the hotel is honestly a game-changer if you’re driving — finding parking in Florence can be a nightmare.
The Breakfast Experience
The breakfast setup here is actually impressive in its variety. They’ve got everything from traditional Italian pastries and espresso to American-style options, plus they’re surprisingly good with dietary restrictions. I watched them prepare fresh vegan and gluten-free options without making it feel like an afterthought. The continental spread includes local Tuscan specialties alongside international choices, and there’s even an Asian section which seems random but works well for international guests. The dining room gets good morning light, and you can plan your day over a proper cappuccino without feeling rushed.
What Makes It Special
What strikes me most about this place is how it balances being professional without feeling stuffy. The rooms are well-appointed — not flashy, but everything works properly and the beds are genuinely comfortable. The housekeeping is thorough, and little touches like quality linens and decent water pressure show they care about the basics. Recent guests consistently rate the location highly, and after staying here, I understand why. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re experiencing Florence rather than just visiting it, if that makes sense.
Why Guests Love It
People keep coming back here because it delivers on the fundamentals while offering something many Florence hotels don’t — space to breathe. The high guest ratings reflect what you actually experience: reliable service, a great breakfast, and a location that works for both sightseeing and experiencing local life. Whether you’re planning romantic dinners in nearby neighborhoods or day trips through Tuscany, this hotel serves as a solid, comfortable base. It’s the kind of place where you’ll actually look forward to returning each evening, rather than just using it as somewhere to crash.
Tuscany’s hotels pair barrel-aging cellars, fresco breakfasts, and concierge-led Siena cathedral climbs.

Guest Reviews
What could be improved: I think others would like to improve breakfast but for me it's not important! Everything is very good! Thank you!!!
What could be improved: Such a stylish designer interior, but which is already falling into disrepair, furniture is deteriorating over time, plumbing creaks. I would like to wish you - updates over time!
What could be improved: Around 20-30 min by wall to the centre
What could be improved: Before check out, on 9 o’clock in de morning while we were out on breakfast, the cleaning lady came into the room to clean and took all our belonings. When we came back she was still in the room cleaning. We got our things back but she was not supossed to come clean and take our belongings while we still haven’t checked out.
It was a misunderstanding of course, she thought maybe that we left but it didn’t fell right. It wasn’t even checkout time, we still had 2 hours left.
What could be improved: Nothing
What could be improved: The location was a little tricky to navigate until I figured out the public transport system
What could be improved: The room was smelling cigarette.
What could be improved: Although we encounter this issue in most hotels regardless of stars rating I would like to bring it up as hotels with a higher star rating should be different. When checking in the staff should take the time to let customers know about the location and proximity to bus stops, trams or other type of transportation. We were told nothing about this. We found a bus stop in close proximity to the hotel with service to downtown for $1.75. We contact the hotel about taxi service and they only told us to pick up a taxi at the station. Bus 6B is right across from the train station and will take you a block away from the hotel without paying for a Taxi or even awaiting for one which in our case we couldn’t find one even calling directly. Tourists aren’t aware of this fact unless the hotel staff points it out. This is even more important when the hotel location is not near main attractions or to the downtown area. Hotel management must make this a priority and a training session for all over the counter employees. A map showing these points…location of the hotel and close proximity to transportation assets as a minimum should be the rule to create a great hotel experience at check in. Not much to ask to assist people who are strangers to the city and its surroundings. We also didn’t like dinner closing at 8pm. Most one day tours ended around 7 or 8. By the time u get back to the hotel dinner was over.
Pleasant and low key staff allowing you to get on with your day.
I think I would like the location in summer to avoid the crowds however in winter I'd recommend staying closer to district 1 if you came for sightseeing( it's a very brisk 30 min walk to get to Piazza del Duomo for example).
What could be improved: Not sure why the place has 4 stars as no sufficient facilities - no spa or option to use the bar throughout the day.
