The morning sounds are incredible – church bells from the village, roosters doing their thing, maybe a tractor puttering by. I stayed here in late September during harvest season, and the whole valley smelled like fermenting grapes and wood smoke.

What really sets this place apart is how they’ve maintained that authentic villa feel without skimping on comfort. The rooms have those thick stone walls that keep everything blissfully cool, even in summer heat, and the beds are seriously comfortable – none of that rock-hard European mattress nonsense. The staff actually knows the area inside and out, not just the usual tourist recommendations. They pointed me toward this tiny enoteca in the village where locals go for their evening aperitivo, and I ended up having one of those perfect travel moments chatting with winemakers over Chianti Classico.

The property itself has these gorgeous terraced gardens that feel ancient but are clearly lovingly maintained. There’s a pool area that’s sophisticated without being stuffy – you know, the kind of place where you can actually relax with a book instead of feeling like you’re on display. Parking is easy, which matters more than you’d think when you’re navigating narrow Tuscan roads with a rental car. Check-in was smooth and personal, none of that corporate hotel efficiency that somehow makes you feel rushed.

Honestly, the 9.3 rating makes complete sense once you’ve been there. It’s not trying to be the flashiest place in Tuscany – it’s just genuinely excellent at what it does. The kind of spot where you find yourself lingering over breakfast on the terrace, planning your next visit before you’ve even checked out.   Beautiful property in a great location. The views of the Tuscan hills are gorgeous, the room was not big but very comfortable with a large window door. We enjoyed the pool area and had an excellent dinner at the restaurant at night. The breakfast was also delicious. Thank you!

  It was really great. Why did I only discover this place now? I happened to find it by chance, and luckily there was a room available for one night, so I booked it and stayed just for a night. But if I get the chance next time (and even if I don't, I'll make one), I will definitely visit again. The hot Tuscan sun, the beautiful olive trees, the antique-style accommodation, the friendly staff, the delicious dinner, and the guest-only swimming pool that cooled us off—all of this made it a happy day even though it was just one day out of 365. Since I had a rental car, it was easy to find the place, but it would be difficult to visit without a car. That's why it's so quiet.
