Principe Forte Dei Marmi – Resort & Spa
Forte dei Marmi, ItalyLook, I’ve stayed at a lot of fancy places along the Tuscan coast, but Principe Forte Dei Marmi hits different – and I mean that in the best way possible. The moment you pull up to Via Morin 67, you realize this isn’t just another resort trying too hard to impress. It’s actually tucked away from the main Versilia strip, which honestly makes all the difference when you’re trying to escape the summer crowds that descend on Forte dei Marmi like locusts in July and August.
The whole place has this understated elegance that feels… well, genuinely Italian rather than some international chain’s idea of what Italian should be. You know what I noticed right away? The staff actually remembers your name after one conversation – not because they’re reading it off a card, but because they genuinely seem to care. The spa is where this place really shines though. I’m usually skeptical about hotel spas (they’re often just expensive ways to kill time), but theirs uses local thermal elements and you can actually feel the difference. The treatment rooms overlook these gorgeous gardens, and there’s something about getting a massage while listening to the distant sound of the Mediterranean that just works. The pool area manages to feel both sophisticated and relaxed – no fighting for chairs at dawn, no obnoxious music, just the kind of atmosphere where you can actually read a book without someone’s kids cannon-balling three feet away.
What really sets Principe apart is its relationship with the beach scene. Forte dei Marmi can be pretty intense during peak season – I mean, this is where Milan’s fashion crowd comes to see and be seen – but the hotel strikes this perfect balance. You’re close enough to walk to the legendary beach clubs like Twiga or Alpemare if that’s your thing, but far enough away that you can retreat to genuine tranquility. The rooms are spacious without being cavernous, and the beds… honestly, I’ve never slept better. They’ve got this thing figured out where luxury doesn’t mean ostentatious – it means everything just works perfectly. The restaurant sources incredibly fresh seafood (the crudo is phenomenal), and their wine list focuses on smaller Tuscan producers you probably haven’t heard of but definitely should try. Is it expensive? Yeah, absolutely. But when you factor in the location, the service that feels personal rather than scripted, and the fact that you’re getting genuine five-star quality without the pretentious attitude, it actually feels worth it. Plus, parking is included – which if you’ve ever tried to park in Forte dei Marmi during summer, you know is basically a miracle.

What could be improved: rien
What could be improved: Niente
The location good .
What could be improved: I booked this hotel with the intention of enjoying the spa . It was closed for maintenance… I paid in advance and no reduction was proposed .
The worst was the poor club sandwich and burger(very bad quality )at 39€ each and 2 coca-colas at 27€ and service at 14€ . I am used to 5 stars hotel . Never see such a shame .
Very professional vallet Ugo
What could be improved: Only tiny details, which don’t detract from a fantastic hotel.
Room service menu is limited and very formal, where if I’m tired and just want to stay in..I would rather have comfort food and something a bit more informal.
No tea making facilities, to make own drinks.
In room lighting doesn’t allow bathroom to be turned on without all lights been on which if someone is sleeping.
No sockets near bed.
What could be improved: Nothing, everything was amazing
What could be improved: nothing
