Odina Agriturismo
You know what? I’ve stayed at plenty of agriturismos in Tuscany, but Odina hits different. It’s tucked away in Loro Ciuffenna – and I mean really tucked away – in this tiny hamlet called Odina that honestly feels like it hasn’t changed much since the Renaissance. The drive up through the Valdarno hills is gorgeous, though fair warning: the final stretch is on one of those narrow country roads where you’ll definitely meet a tractor at some point.
The place itself is basically a restored farmhouse that somehow manages to feel both rustic and refined without trying too hard. When I pulled up, the owner’s dog came trotting over (friendly, don’t worry), and there was this incredible smell of rosemary and lavender everywhere. They’ve got their own olive groves right there on the property, and during harvest season – well, let’s just say the breakfast oil is about as fresh as it gets. The rooms are what you’d expect from a proper 4-star agriturismo: exposed beams, terracotta floors, those thick stone walls that keep everything cool even in July. Actually, my room overlooked the vegetable garden, and I kept my windows open all night because the silence up there is just incredible. No traffic, no city hum – just crickets and the occasional owl.
What really sold me on this place, though, is how they’ve nailed that sweet spot between authentic farm life and actual comfort. The family running it clearly knows their stuff – they’re not just playing at being farmers for the tourists. Breakfast comes with eggs from their chickens, honey from their beehives, and vegetables that were probably picked that morning. I mean, I watched the guy harvest tomatoes for the evening aperitivo while I was having my morning coffee. The pool area is perfectly positioned to catch the afternoon sun, and there’s this covered terrace where you can sit with a glass of their house Chianti and just… exist. No wifi pressure, no city stress, just proper countryside quiet. It’s about a 15-minute drive into Loro Ciuffenna proper if you need anything, and honestly, that little medieval town is worth the trip anyway – there’s a fantastic osteria called Il Canto del Maggio that locals actually eat at. The 9.8 rating makes total sense once you’re there; it’s the kind of place that does everything well without making a big show of it. Perfect for when you want to experience real Tuscan farm life but still sleep in a proper bed and have decent water pressure in the shower.

Guest Reviews
There are several buildings, guest gardens, lawn gardens, and a swimming pool on a tall and spacious site. The view from the top of the mountain is really nice. The accommodation is spacious and opulent. It's also good for a walk. Be sure to attend dinner. The food and atmosphere were really great and chatting with neighbors from other rooms was great. Breakfast is also great. With many long-term guests, you can have the perfect vacation.
Everything was perfect!
I can’t wait to visit it again probably in September or early October to have longer daylight.
Making use of the veggies from the garden.
