Messori Suites
Florence, ItalyFirst Impressions
Walking up to Messori Suites, you immediately get the sense this isn’t your typical Florence hotel. It’s tucked away on Via Antonio Giacomini in the Campo Di Marte district, which honestly feels refreshingly removed from the tourist chaos around the Duomo. The building has this understated elegance — not flashy, but you can tell someone put real thought into the details. What struck me right away was how quiet the street is, especially considering you’re still very much in Florence proper.
Location & Neighborhood
Campo Di Marte is one of those areas that locals actually live in, you know? You’ve got the Stadio Artemio Franchi nearby if you’re into football, and the whole neighborhood has this authentic Florentine vibe without the crowds. I mean, couples seem to really get it — they rate the location 8.7 out of 10, and I can see why. You’re close enough to walk to the historic center (maybe 20 minutes on foot), but far enough away that you can actually breathe. The tram stops nearby too, which makes getting around pretty effortless.
The Suites
The rooms at Messori Suites are exactly what you’d hope for — spacious, thoughtfully designed, and actually functional. These aren’t cramped hotel boxes but proper suites with enough room to spread out your stuff and feel settled. The decor strikes this nice balance between modern comfort and Italian style without going overboard on either front. What I really appreciated was the attention to lighting — there are actually enough outlets where you need them, and the windows let in plenty of natural light during the day.
Breakfast & Amenities
The breakfast setup here is solid — they do Continental, Italian, and buffet options, so whether you want a quick espresso and cornetto or something more substantial, you’re covered. The Italian breakfast items are particularly good (as they should be), and the coffee is proper Italian coffee, not some watered-down hotel version. Having private parking on-site is honestly a game-changer if you’re driving in Florence — anyone who’s tried to navigate those narrow streets and find parking will tell you that’s worth its weight in gold.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets Messori Suites apart is this combination of being genuinely local while still being tourist-friendly. You get that 9.2 rating because it delivers on the basics exceptionally well — comfortable rooms, great location, solid breakfast — without any pretense or unnecessary frills. It’s the kind of place where you can have an authentic Florence experience but still have all the comforts you want after a long day of sightseeing. The fact that couples consistently love the location tells you something about the romantic, residential feel of the area. You’re staying in Florence, not just visiting it.
Savvy travelers reserve a hotel in Tuscany before olive harvests fill pressing rooms with aromatic queues.

Guest Reviews
What could be improved: Parking on premise was a little expensive
What could be improved: Shower large and functional but needs some attention. Breakfast, surprisingly plain and monotonous, probably the only thing worse than expected (whoever is doing the eggs, please ask someone to show you how not to cauterise them).
What could be improved: nothing to complain about
What could be improved: The bathroom door was just a glass that didn't close tight so for privacy you had to put a curtain. A design decision I am still struggling to understand.
What could be improved: Nothing
What could be improved: Breakfast should be higher quality.
What could be improved: The sink was clogged, but nothing else.
