LE RÊVE DE NAIM Firenze
Florence, ItalyYou know what struck me first about LE RÊVE DE NAIM? The name means “Naim’s Dream” in French, and honestly, walking into this place on Piazza Piave, you get why someone would dream about it. It’s tucked into this gorgeous historic building that feels quintessentially Florentine – all those warm stone facades and shuttered windows you picture when you think of Italy. The location in Santa Croce is actually brilliant if you know Florence at all. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the Basilica di Santa Croce (where Michelangelo is buried, by the way), but more importantly, you’re in this lovely residential pocket that doesn’t feel overrun with tour groups.
What I love about this place is how it manages to feel both elegant and lived-in. The rooms have this perfect balance – beautiful period details like original beamed ceilings and terracotta floors, but then really thoughtful modern touches that actually work. The beds are properly comfortable (I mean, not just hotel-comfortable), and the bathrooms are spacious enough that you’re not doing some weird contortion dance around your suitcase. The staff here genuinely knows the neighborhood too, which makes such a difference. They’ll tell you about the little osteria around the corner on Via de’ Pepi that locals actually go to, or mention that the Sant’Ambrogio market is just a quick walk away – perfect for grabbing fresh fruit or that gorgeous Italian produce you’ll Instagram but then actually eat.
The area gets wonderfully quiet at night, which is something you don’t always get in central Florence. You’ll hear the occasional Vespa puttering down the cobblestones, maybe some late-night conversation drifting up from the piazza, but it’s that romantic kind of city noise that makes you feel like you’re in a movie. During the day, the energy is completely different – there’s real neighborhood life happening around you. People walking their dogs, kids playing football in the square, that sort of thing. And here’s a practical tip: if you’re driving, there’s actually decent parking nearby at Piazza Ghiberti, which your hotel can help arrange. The 9.1 rating this place has earned feels spot-on to me. It’s not trying to be some flashy luxury palace, but rather this really well-executed, authentic Florentine experience that gets all the details right. You’re close enough to walk to the Duomo or the Uffizi when you want to do the tourist thing, but far enough away that you can pretend you’re just living in Florence for a few days.

Guest Reviews
What could be improved: They had zero complaints.
What could be improved: the noises on the streets were very clear in the room couldn’t sleep well the whole stay. the shower room (in the family suite) has clear door which was weird honestly since its 1 shower and 2 rooms. the living room is very small and is more like a kitchen/wardrobe not to sit and chill.
Big room, especially for Florence.
What could be improved: The soundproofing could be improved, there were works outside during our stay and it woke us up each and every morning
What could be improved: I liked it all!
What could be improved: There was a clump of hair under the pillow on the sofa.
Be aware that this accommodation is far from the station. And for some reason, I couldn't call a taxi to get to the hotel; freenow, Uber and even a local taxi company that the hotel staff recommended couldn't reserve a taxi for me so we walked.
