Calenzano isn’t exactly Florence, but that’s actually part of its appeal. You’re close enough to zip into the city center when you want the full tourist experience, but far enough out to feel like you’re experiencing real Italian life. The parking situation here is fantastic — free and private, which anyone who’s tried to park in Florence will appreciate. I mean, not having to stress about finding a spot or feeding meters? That’s worth something right there. The location strikes a perfect balance between accessibility and tranquility, making it ideal for those seeking both convenience and authentic Tuscan atmosphere.

The Room Experience

My room was clean and comfortable, though nothing too fancy. The beds are decent, and honestly, the air conditioning works well — which matters more than you’d think during those sweltering Tuscan summers. What I really liked was how quiet it gets at night. You’re not dealing with the constant buzz of city traffic, so you actually sleep properly. The bathrooms are updated enough, and there’s good water pressure, which is always a relief when you’re traveling. Each room is thoughtfully designed to provide a peaceful retreat after exploring the region.

  I stayed here many times so there is nothing new to write home about. I always choose it for being a good value for money hotel, offering comfy rooms, good breakfast and free parking. There are a few restaurants and bars nearby. For those who want to visit Florence, there is a train station at less than 10 minutes walk (Pratignone) with trains going each hour to Firenze S.Maria Novella and it costs abobut 3 euro each way.
