Fullino Nero Rta – Residenza Turistico Alberghiera
Siena, ItalyFirst Impressions
When I first pulled up to Fullino Nero Rta – Residenza Turistico Alberghiera, I’ll admit I was a bit surprised by how peaceful it felt despite being so close to Siena‘s historic center. The property sits along Strada Del Petriccio E Belriguardo, and honestly, having that free private parking right on site was already a win — anyone who’s tried to navigate Siena’s medieval streets with a rental car knows exactly what I mean. The building itself has this understated charm that doesn’t try too hard, which I actually appreciated after seeing so many overly themed places in Tuscany.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re close enough to walk into Siena’s centro storico without dealing with the chaos of staying right in the thick of it. The location consistently gets rave reviews from guests, and I can see why couples especially love it here. You know what’s great? You can actually drive to your accommodation and park, then explore the city on foot. It’s that sweet spot where you feel connected to Siena but still have some breathing room. The walk into the historic center takes maybe 15-20 minutes, and it’s actually quite pleasant through the quieter residential streets.
The Property Experience
As a residenza turistico alberghiera, this place operates a bit differently than your typical hotel — think more like a well-run guesthouse with apartment-style accommodations. The rooms feel more like staying in someone’s thoughtfully appointed home rather than a standard hotel room. I mean, there’s something refreshing about having a bit more space and independence, especially if you’re planning to stay for several days exploring the region. The setup works particularly well if you want to grab some local groceries and prepare a simple breakfast or snack.
What Sets It Apart
The real standout here is how the staff manages to create a personal experience without being intrusive. They clearly know their guests appreciate both the proximity to Siena and the quieter setting — it’s not trying to be everything to everyone, which I respect. The fact that recent guests consistently rate the location so highly tells you something about how well-positioned this place really is. Plus, that parking situation can’t be overstated — it eliminates so much stress when you’re exploring this part of Tuscany by car.
Why Guests Love It
After spending time here, I get why this place maintains such strong ratings. It’s the kind of accommodation that works especially well for travelers who want to experience Siena at their own pace — you can duck into the city for morning coffee and evening aperitivo, then retreat to somewhere more tranquil. The couples who rate this place so highly probably appreciate having a comfortable base that doesn’t feel touristy or overly busy. Honestly, if you’re looking for that balance between accessibility and peace of mind (literally and figuratively, thanks to that parking), Fullino Nero Rta delivers without any unnecessary fuss.
To book a hotel in Tuscany during Palio weeks, visitors balance Siena contrada parades with countryside spa retreats.

What could be improved: Nothing at all.
What could be improved: Monday seems to be laundry day and the washing machine was quite vocal

What could be improved: Nothing
What could be improved: The intro said it was 4.6km from Siena. It was about 11km away. However, the view was great.
What could be improved: The air conditioning was not efficient enough for the room. Too hot to sleep.
It is a renovated farmhouse in old school style, don’t prepare for ultramodern apartment.
What could be improved: Nothing
