You know what caught me off guard about c-hotels Club? Walking up to this place on Via Santa Caterina da Siena, I was expecting just another decent Florence hotel – but honestly, this spot has way more personality than most four-star places I’ve stayed at. The building itself sits right in the Santa Maria Novella district, which means you’re basically a five-minute walk from the train station (super handy if you’re doing the Italy rail thing) but far enough down this quieter side street that you don’t get the constant rumble of luggage wheels at all hours.

The whole vibe inside is sort of… sophisticated but not stuffy, if that makes sense? I mean, they’ve clearly put thought into the design without going overboard with the trendy hotel nonsense. What really won me over was how the staff actually seemed to know Florence – not just the obvious tourist spots, but like, they pointed me toward this tiny enoteca around the corner that I never would’ve found otherwise. The rooms are well-appointed (I hate that phrase but it fits here), and the beds are actually comfortable, which… look, after walking around Florence’s cobblestones all day, that matters more than you’d think. The AC works properly too, which is kind of essential during summer months when Florence can get pretty sweltering.

Location-wise, you’re perfectly positioned between the Duomo area and the Oltrarno district – I could easily walk to Ponte Vecchio in about ten minutes, hit up the leather market at San Lorenzo, or wander over to Santo Spirito for dinner without needing any transportation. There’s decent parking nearby if you’re brave enough to drive in Florence (though honestly, I’d skip the car rental here), and the breakfast situation is solid without being anything revolutionary. What really bumped this place up in my book was those little touches – like, they’ll actually help you figure out museum reservations, and the front desk doesn’t go into zombie mode after 9 PM like some places do. The 9.3 rating makes total sense when you add it all up. It’s not trying to be the fanciest hotel in Florence, but it gets the fundamentals right and then some, all while sitting in a spot that lets you experience the city like you’re staying in a neighborhood rather than just passing through.

  I just asked if i can change my single room to economy double room. When i arrived to the hotel they surprised me with the changing to economy double room with extra caring things. I liked the Kind welcome letter on the bed, i will keep it as a memory. Thank you.

  Excellent location! Very close to train station and short but nice walk to the Duomo and Central Market, Kind friendly and very helpful staff both in reception and bar areas. Hotel was clean throughout and well kept standard room was still spacious, shower just a bit on the small side. Mini fridge was great addition would definitely stay here again.
