You know what really gets me about BORGO DI BEPPE E GLORIA SUITE? It’s tucked away on Via Fornaci Maddii in this part of San Giovanni Valdarno that feels completely removed from tourist chaos, but you’re actually just a few minutes’ walk from the main piazza. I mean, the address might not ring bells if you’re not familiar with the area, but it’s basically in this quiet residential pocket where you’ll hear church bells in the morning instead of traffic – which, honestly, is exactly what you want when you’re trying to decompress in Tuscany.

The suite itself feels like someone’s well-loved family home that just happens to be incredibly stylish. Beppe and Gloria (and yes, they’re real people, not just names slapped on for charm) have this knack for details that actually matter to travelers. The bathroom has this gorgeous tilework that looks original but functions perfectly – no fiddling with ancient plumbing or lukewarm water. The bed is one of those where you sink in just enough without feeling like you’re drowning in foam, and the sheets smell like they’ve been line-dried, which they probably have been. There’s a little kitchenette that’s actually useful, not just decorative – I’m talking proper coffee setup and enough space to slice up some of that incredible bread from the bakery down the street.

What really sold me, though, was stepping onto the terrace in the evening. You get this view over the rooftops toward the Pratomagno mountains, and the light does that golden hour thing that makes you understand why people lose their minds over Tuscan sunsets. The neighbors were having dinner on their own terraces, speaking in that animated Italian way, and there’s something about being part of a real neighborhood instead of a hotel district that just hits different. Parking was straightforward too – they’ve got a spot sorted, which saves you from driving in circles through narrow medieval streets like some kind of lost tourist cliché. The 9.5 rating honestly makes sense when you experience the place; it’s not trying to be a luxury resort, but everything works beautifully and feels authentic. San Giovanni Valdarno itself is perfectly positioned if you want to explore the Chianti region or pop over to Arezzo, but it’s got enough character on its own that you won’t feel like you’re just using it as a base camp.

  The house is absolutely stunning: the details across all the rooms are beautifully curated, it has all the appliances that you may need for either a short or long term stay, and it was really comfortable to just chill around the house. The host is the nicest person and was super helpful throughout the entire process, which I certainly appreciated. We happened to be there around the Christmas season, so the attention to detail by having the place decorated (with even a Christmas tree!) was a really nice touch and it made us feel like home. I cannot wait to go back and I 100% would recommend!

  Wonderful to have a whole house to yourself, gives you comfort and privacy. The entrance to the property is via a private garden – beautifully set up and maintained. Lovely also to sit outside . Also loved the indoor bathtub / jacuzzi for two- perfect way to relax. Last but not least the decoration of the house is really well done , cozy and welcoming . On top of the beauty of the property which is super – the owners / hosts are extremely nice and polite and welcoming. We arrived late on a friday night due to heavy traffic and they were super nice about it and concerned for us – even making a dinner reservation for us which we had to cancel as we got in too late . But they were there to greet us with warm smiles and snacks in the fridge yo make us feel at home . Lovely and thank you Martina for being such an amazing hostess !

  Sehr schönes Haus, central in Valdarno gelegen und somit perfekt für Ausflüge in der Toskana.
  Das Haus ist mit sehr viel Liebe eingerichtet und es fehlt an nichts und die Gastgeberin Martina ist sehr freundlich und Hilfsbereit.
  Als zum Beispiel unser Kaffee fertig war, hat sie uns sofort wieder neuen Kaffee besorgt, das ist nicht selbstverständlich. Fürs Auto gibt es einen eigenen Carport und für die Fahrräder gibt es auch genug Platz, zum Beispiel im schönen Garten.
  Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, wollten gar nicht mehr gehen…Es war einfach toll.

  Op de foto's zag het huis er al prachtig uit, maar in werkelijkheid is het nog mooier en authentieker. Martina is een geweldige en lieve gastvrouw, die goed bereikbaar is voor vragen en tips geeft voor uitstapjes.
