The train station is a fifteen-minute walk if you want to day-trip to Florence or Pisa, and if you’re driving, you can actually get out of the city center without wanting to tear your hair out. I watched so many people struggle with their rental cars trying to navigate the narrow streets near the duomo, while I just strolled back to Via Romana with my shopping bags and called it a day.
