You know what struck me first about Beatabb? The way it sits on Via Roma – not the touristy part that most people think of when they hear “Via Roma,” but this quieter stretch in Guardistallo where you actually feel like you’re in a real Italian town. I mean, you’re still only about fifteen minutes from the coast, but there’s something refreshing about being away from the beach crowds while still getting that authentic Tuscan hill town vibe.

The hotel itself is one of those places that gets the balance right between being polished and feeling genuine. It’s a solid 4-star property, but honestly, it punches above its weight in ways that matter. The rooms have this warm, lived-in elegance – not the sterile perfection you sometimes get at chain hotels, but actual character with quality linens and those little touches that show someone cares. The staff genuinely knows the area too, which is rarer than you’d think. When I asked about good walking routes, the guy at the front desk didn’t just hand me a generic map – he actually sketched out this lovely loop that takes you through the olive groves and back past the old church.

What really won me over was how quiet it gets at night. Guardistallo isn’t exactly a party town anyway, but Via Roma here is residential enough that you’ll sleep well without needing earplugs. The whole area has this drowsy, peaceful quality after dinner time. And speaking of dinner – while the hotel restaurant is perfectly good, you’re a five-minute walk from some genuinely excellent local spots that don’t feel like tourist traps. The 9.2 rating honestly makes sense when you stay here; it’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but everything just works the way it should. Check-in was smooth, parking was easy (which, trust me, isn’t always a given in these hill towns), and the whole experience felt like staying with sophisticated relatives rather than just booking a room. If you’re looking for a base to explore this part of Tuscany without the chaos of the more famous spots, this place gets it right.

Good place to stay. Beautiful and lovingly furnished rooms, with everything you need. Cozy town with our favourite bistro in the center on the small square. The self-service breakfast system was a bit chaotic when everyone from rooms was there. On the last day, pastries were missing. Otherwise, everything was fine and thank you.

What could be improved: System of breakfast. Missing bread last day.

Perfect location for a village stay We spent 3 nights in the Angiolina Room which was just lovely.
We had everything we needed in the room - bed was comfortable, great bathroom, cute kitchen area & even a terrace to admire the view of the village & down to the sea.
Everything the village has to offer is a 2min walk. Parking no problem on the street.

What could be improved: We liked everything!

Very good Nice room, renovated halls, beautiful bathroom.

What could be improved: There was no staff, only online. But the owner, who communicated online, was very nice and helpful.
