B&B Marbò Florence
Florence, ItalyFirst Impressions
Walking up to B&B Marbò Florence on Via Alamanni, you immediately sense you’ve found something special in this bustling corner of Santa Maria Novella. The building has that authentic Florentine charm — not overly polished or touristy, just genuinely welcoming. I mean, when you’re literally steps from the train station but still feel like you’re in a proper neighborhood rather than some transit zone, that’s honestly pretty remarkable. The entrance gives you that cozy bed-and-breakfast vibe that makes you feel more like a guest in someone’s home than just another hotel room number.
Location That Actually Works
Here’s the thing about the location — it’s one of those rare spots where convenience doesn’t come at the cost of character. You’re a three-minute walk from Santa Maria Novella station, which sounds like it should be noisy and chaotic, but Via Alamanni is surprisingly peaceful. What really struck me is how couples seem to gravitate toward this area (they rate the location 9.0, and honestly, I get it). You can stroll to the Duomo in about ten minutes, hit the leather markets at San Lorenzo without breaking a sweat, and there’s this great little neighborhood feel with actual Florentines going about their daily business around you.
The Rooms and Comfort
The accommodations at B&B Marbò Florence strike that perfect balance between homey and well-appointed. You know what I appreciated most? The rooms feel thoughtfully designed rather than just furnished — there’s attention to detail that you notice gradually rather than all at once. The beds are genuinely comfortable (not just hotel-marketing comfortable), and the bathrooms are modern without feeling sterile. Plus, if you’re traveling with luggage — and let’s face it, who isn’t in Florence — having private parking available is actually a game-changer in this part of the city.
Breakfast Worth Waking Up For
The breakfast setup here is where the B&B really shows its personality. They do both continental and buffet options, which gives you flexibility depending on whether you’re rushing off to beat the crowds at the Uffizi or planning a leisurely morning. The quality is solid — fresh pastries, good coffee (this is Italy, after all), and they actually seem to care about sourcing decent ingredients. I found myself lingering over breakfast more than I usually do, partly because the atmosphere is relaxed and partly because you’re not fighting hordes of tour groups for the good croissants.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back to B&B Marbò Florence is that rare combination of location, value, and genuine hospitality. The 8.1 rating reflects what you experience — it’s not trying to be something it’s not, just doing the fundamentals really well. You’re in the heart of Florence with an excellent location score, but you’re also getting that personal touch that makes a difference when you’re navigating a new city. Whether you’re here for art, food, or just soaking up the atmosphere, this place gives you a solid home base without the pretension or the price tag of fancier options.
Apartments in Tuscany suit slow travelers with stone fireplaces, countryside terraces, and farmhouse kitchens.

Guest Reviews
Our room was big and comfortable too!
What could be improved: The property was good all round
Simple decorated but looks fine, the bed is soft which my friends felt very satisfied. The host gave us a warm welcome and patiently showed everything for better stay.
The building has a small, old but intersted lift, very helpful for tourists with big luggage.
What could be improved: Just a tiny thing, the washbasin is a bit small~
What could be improved: A lift was broken. We managed to bring all the suitcases tho.
The gentleman on reception, staff, and the cleaners were all very helpful. TV had some English stations.
What could be improved: The hair dryer.
What could be improved: Damp smell when entering the main property. No breakfast is available, so tea & coffee facilities would have been a good alternative.
What could be improved: No elevator- but only on level one so that was still ok
