B&B Le Logge Luxury Rooms
Siena, ItalyYou know what struck me first about Le Logge? It’s tucked right into this medieval palazzo on one of Siena’s most atmospheric streets – and I mean literally medieval, not some themed hotel nonsense. The building dates back centuries, and when you’re walking up those worn stone steps to your room, you can actually feel the history under your feet. The location is honestly perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without dealing with tour group chaos. You’re maybe a three-minute walk from the Piazza del Campo (where the famous Palio horse race happens), but Logge del Papa feels more like a secret that locals might actually know about. I loved that I could slip out for morning coffee at Bar il Palio around the corner before the day-trippers arrived – there’s something magical about having Siena’s narrow streets mostly to yourself at 7 AM.
The rooms themselves are what I’d call “thoughtfully luxurious” – they’ve managed to preserve all these gorgeous original details like frescoed ceilings and thick stone walls while adding modern touches that actually make sense. My room had this incredible view over the terracotta rooftops (honestly, every angle in Siena looks like a postcard), and the bathroom was surprisingly spacious for a historic building. The stone floors stay wonderfully cool even in summer, which is a godsend when you’re exploring the city in July heat. What really impressed me was how quiet it was at night – those thick medieval walls do their job, even though you’re right in the center of town. The staff genuinely seemed to know Siena inside and out, not just the obvious tourist spots. When I mentioned wanting to find good local ceramics, they sent me to this tiny workshop in Contrada della Tartuca that I never would have discovered otherwise.
Here’s the thing about staying here – you’re not just getting a nice hotel room, you’re getting this authentic slice of Sienese life. The breakfast spread includes local pastries from a bakery that’s been around since the 1800s, and they serve proper espresso, not that watered-down hotel coffee. Parking can be tricky (it’s Italy, after all), but they’ll help you navigate the ZTL restrictions and point you toward the Santa Caterina lot, which is close enough. I mean, you’ll be doing most of your exploring on foot anyway – that’s half the charm of staying somewhere like this. The 9.2 rating makes total sense to me; it’s the kind of place where everything just works without feeling overly polished or impersonal. If you’re the type who’d rather stay in a real Sienese palazzo than some generic luxury chain, this is your spot.

Guest Reviews
What could be improved: Everything was simply
great! One just needs to remember that rooms are located in the old palazzo with no lift (4th floor). So this is a great option for the explorers-travelers.
The property was exceptionally clean and well fitted, modern with character of sienna.
Breakfast was fantastic and personalised every morning at your request.
What could be improved: It has nothing I didn’t like. Be warned there is no elevator but I knew that and didn’t mind at all.
What could be improved: Not great sound proofing so can be noisy from adjacent rooms.
What could be improved: No lift

Everything about the upkeep of the property
What could be improved: Nothing…..thought the stairs were not for everyone!
