Villa Fioccomare
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Villa Fioccomare, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from this four-star property tucked away on Via Cesare Abba. The villa has this understated elegance that doesn’t scream for attention — you know, the kind of place that locals probably drive past without realizing there’s something special behind those gates. What struck me immediately was how quiet it felt, even though we’re talking about Camaiore here, which can get pretty bustling during peak season. The free parking right on site was actually a relief — I mean, finding a decent spot in this part of Tuscany can be a real headache.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about Villa Fioccomare’s spot — you’re close enough to everything that matters, but far enough away to actually relax. Camaiore sits perfectly between the Versilia coast and those rolling Tuscan hills, and this villa captures that balance beautifully. The beach towns along the coast are maybe a 10-minute drive, while the marble quarries of Carrara and the medieval charm of Lucca are both totally doable day trips. Couples seem to get this location thing figured out pretty quickly — I noticed a lot of them just wandering the nearby streets in the evenings, discovering little trattorias and gelaterias that don’t make it into guidebooks.
The Room Experience
My room had this lovely mix of traditional Italian touches and modern comfort that actually worked well together. The furnishings felt authentic without being stuffy — think warm wood tones and soft linens rather than anything too ornate. What I appreciated most was the attention to details like proper reading lights and enough outlets for all your devices (honestly, you’d be surprised how many places still get this wrong). The bathroom was spacious enough that you’re not bumping into everything, and the shower had decent water pressure — always a concern in older Italian buildings.
Breakfast & Dining
The breakfast setup here is where Villa Fioccomare really shows its personality. They do this nice blend of continental classics with proper Italian touches — fresh pastries, local cheeses, and coffee that’s actually worth drinking. The buffet style means you can take your time, which I found perfect for planning out the day ahead. There’s usually fresh fruit that tastes like it came from nearby farms, and they rotate some of the offerings so you’re not eating the exact same thing every morning. The dining area has these big windows that let in gorgeous morning light, making the whole experience feel less rushed than your typical hotel breakfast.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back to Villa Fioccomare isn’t any single standout feature — it’s how everything comes together in this effortless way. The staff genuinely seems to care about your experience without being overly formal about it. The location gives you options without forcing you into tourist traps, and the property itself feels like a proper retreat rather than just a place to crash. I think that 8.9 rating reflects something important — this isn’t about flashy amenities or Instagram-worthy pools, but rather about getting the fundamentals right in a setting that feels authentically Italian.
Exploring Tuscany layers sunflower valleys, Renaissance masterpieces, and midnight gelato strolls.

Guest Reviews
The location was ideal, close to several charming towns that we could easily visit during the day or evenings.
One of the highlights of our stay was the amazing pool. It was incredibly large, crystal clear, and well maintained. With only three apartments on the property, there was always plenty of space around the pool, we were mostly alone during the day. Our kids spent hours splashing around, and we all enjoyed relaxing by the water.
The property itself was spacious and comfortable, providing everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Silvia, the owner, was always available. She answered all our questions with a smile and gave us some fantastic recommendations for places to visit and dine (and some more).
Our kids liked the turtles and the friendly dog that lived on the property.
This was one of the best family vacations we've had. The combination of a fantastic location, superb accommodations, and Silvia's warm hospitality made it a perfect stay. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway in Italy.
