The rooms have these gorgeous terracotta floors that stay cool even in summer, and the windows open wide to let in that Mediterranean breeze (though you’ll want to close them during the afternoon heat). The beds are seriously comfortable – I’m talking about the kind of sleep where you wake up actually refreshed. And here’s a detail that matters more than you’d think: the WiFi actually works throughout the property, even out on the terrace where you’ll probably spend your evenings with a glass of local Bolgheri wine. The breakfast spread is what Italians do best – fresh pastries, proper espresso, and local honey that tastes like sunshine. The location is honestly genius if you want to experience this part of Tuscany properly. You’re close enough to walk to that little enoteca on the main square where locals actually drink, but far enough from the coastal crowds in Donoratico. Parking isn’t the nightmare it can be in some Italian towns – there’s space right outside, which anyone who’s driven through Tuscany will appreciate.   I recently had the pleasure of staying at Villa Curiel in Castagneto Carducci and I can honestly say it exceeded all expectations. I was travelling alone and from the moment I arrived, I felt completely at home. The comfort of the accommodation was outstanding and you could tell that every design detail has been thoughtfully considered to ensure a relaxing and luxurious experience.
  
  The property was impeccably clean, with beautifully maintained rooms and common areas that reflect both elegance and charm. The location is ideal, peaceful and picturesque, yet conveniently close to everything you might need or want to explore in the region.
  
  Cristiano and Dalia went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and cared for throughout my time there.
  
  I wholeheartedly recommend Villa Curiel to anyone seeking a memorable and serene escape in Tuscany. A true gem, I’ll definitely be returning!

  Cristiano and his team were so lovely and great! They showed us around and we had a very nice time. The view from the balcony onto the land and sea is just breathtaking – especially during sunset. The rooms are super clean and modern and really, the location is fantastic. I'm looking forward visiting again hopefully soon!
