You know what struck me first about this place? The name is longer than most Italian train station announcements, but honestly, it delivers on every single promise. I mean, when you’re walking down Via Oreste Marrucci – and trust me, you’ll walk right past number 12 the first time because these Tuscan buildings all look charmingly similar – you’re not expecting much from the outside. But then you get inside this apartment and it’s like someone took everything good about staying in Italy and condensed it into two perfectly appointed bedrooms.

The location is actually ridiculous in the best way possible. You’re literally in the heart of Cecina, which means you can stumble to that little pasticceria I kept seeing locals line up at every morning (I never got the name, but it’s maybe three doors down), and the evening passeggiata route runs right past your front door. The air conditioning – God bless whoever insisted on that – works like a dream, which you’ll appreciate because those upper floors can get pretty warm in summer. The terrazza is where I spent most of my mornings with coffee, watching the town wake up below. It’s not huge, but it’s perfectly sized for two people to sit comfortably without bumping elbows.

What really sets this apart from your typical hotel experience is how lived-in it feels. The two bathrooms (seriously, such a luxury when you’re traveling with someone) have actual water pressure, and there’s this attention to detail that makes you feel like you’re staying in someone’s carefully curated home rather than a rental. The kitchen area – well, you’re in Italy, so you’re going to eat out most of the time anyway – but having a proper fridge for wine and those amazing local peaches was perfect. I noticed the building can get a bit echoey in the evenings when families are coming home from dinner, but it’s that good kind of neighborhood noise that makes you feel part of the rhythm of the place. The host was incredibly responsive too, though I only needed to contact them once when I couldn’t figure out the somewhat temperamental front door lock. Parking can be tricky on Via Oreste Marrucci itself, but there’s usually space on the side streets if you don’t mind a two-minute walk. For a 4-star rating, this place punches way above its weight – that 9 out of 10 rating makes complete sense once you’ve spent a few nights here.

  struttura molto molto ben curata, pulita, abbiamo trovato tutto quello che serviva per un lieto soggiorno. C’era anche la possibilità di farsi un caffè o un tè. L’host è stata molto gentile e molto accomodante per ogni nostra richiesta.

  Appartamento molto spazioso e dotato di ogni confort. Molto apprezzato il regalino di Giada che ci ha fatto trovare dei dolcetti per iniziare bene la nostra vacanza 🙂 … ma anche la disponibilità h24 e tutte le informazioni che ci ha fornito sui parcheggi a disposizione e sui supermercati di zona. Giada è stata anche sempre molto rapida nel dare riscontro alle nostre richieste. Anche la nostra canina di taglia media ha apprezzato l'accoglienza e lo spazio del terrazzino. Insomma … ci siamo proprio sentiti a casa! Speriamo di tornare presto :-)!
  
  What could be improved: Le scale "a vista" senza corrimani nè parapetti sono molto d'effetto e danno un tocco moderno all'appartamento … ma potrebbero essere un po' pericolose per chi ha bambini piccoli o qualche difficoltà di mobilità.

  Der Kontakt zu Giada war super freundlich und zuverlässig. Die Unterkunft selber war in einem top Zustand, mega sauber, bietet viel Platz u hat zwei Bäder. Zudem besteht die Möglichkeit, selbst zu kochen. Das Appartement befindet sich Zentral in der Innenstadt. Wir haben uns rundum sehr wohl gefühlt u kommen gerne wieder.

  La signora Giada è una host davvero premurosa. Ha risolto alcune modifiche richieste e si è dimostrata sempre molto cordiale e professionale. L'appartamento è ampio, molto pulito e ben ristrutturato con un terrazzino da cui si gode la vista di un campanile vicino.

  I parcheggi non a pagamento si trovano a circa 300m, altrimenti si possono usufruire dei parcheggi comunali
