You know what struck me first about The Bricks B&B? It’s actually in a real neighborhood – like, where actual Pisans live and work. Via Giuseppe dell’Omodarme isn’t some touristy street lined with gelato shops (though honestly, there’s a fantastic little alimentari around the corner where locals grab their morning coffee). The building itself has that solid, unpretentious feel that makes you think it’s been here forever, which it probably has. And the free parking thing? That’s not just a nice touch – it’s genuinely a lifesaver in Pisa, where finding a spot near the center can turn into a 30-minute ordeal involving creative Italian curse words.

The rooms have this interesting mix of old-school Italian charm and actually functional modern stuff. I mean, the beds are properly comfortable (not those rock-hard mattresses you sometimes get in historic buildings), and the WiFi works everywhere – I tested it because, well, you have to these days. What really got me was the breakfast setup. It’s not some elaborate buffet situation, but the host clearly knows what they’re doing. Fresh cornetti from the bakery down the street, real Italian coffee that doesn’t taste like it came from a machine, and they’ll actually chat with you about what’s worth seeing beyond the obvious tower stuff. The whole place feels like staying at your Italian friend’s family home, if your Italian friend’s family happened to be really good at hospitality.

Here’s the thing about the location – it’s about a 15-minute walk to the Leaning Tower area, which sounds far but actually isn’t, especially since you’re walking through parts of Pisa that most tourists never see. There’s this lovely stretch along the Arno where you’ll pass old ladies doing their shopping and guys playing cards outside the tabaccheria. The neighborhood gets properly quiet at night too, which is perfect if you’re trying to recover from a long day of sightseeing. Plus, being slightly outside the main tourist zone means you’re paying reasonable prices for everything – dinner at the trattoria two blocks away costs about half what you’d pay near the Duomo, and it’s honestly better food. The only minor thing is that if you’re arriving late, the streets can be a bit tricky to navigate in the dark (Italian street lighting is… atmospheric), but the host is really good about meeting you or giving clear directions. At this price point and with this kind of genuine local experience, it’s the sort of place that makes you feel like you actually visited Italy, not just took photos of famous monuments.

  The place is very clean, spacious, excellent shower, very convenient self check in. If you need to get to airport – 10 mins walk, very easy.

  The location was great, literally 5 minutes from Pisa airport and 25 minute comfortable walk from the B&B to the Leaning Tower.

  About a 15 minutes walk from the airport. We arrived late, which was great as it was self service check in. The bed was super comfy and room was excellent temperature. Breakfast was adequate. I would recommend this for an airport stay.
  
  What could be improved: By mistake I booked for only one but then charged extra €20 for one extra breakfast. As the same bed was used. But I wouldn't let this put me off booking again.

  Perfect accommodation for our visit to Pisa. Great location for all transport links. Choice of Breakfast was excellent, room was large and very clean. Free parking was an extra bonus which was very useful. Host was very helpful and went the extra mile just to ensure we had a great stay – would thoroughly recommend!

  Absolutely great accommodation and services. Great communication by accommodation. They even prepared a very early breakfast at 03:30 for the morning departure. Individual approach and great care, nothing was missing. There was a whirlpool in the room. The room was clean. Quiet location near the airport (10 minutes walk). If we ever return to Pisa again, we will certainly use the accommodation again. I recommend and give a rating 11.
