It’s not actually in Siena proper – it’s tucked away on this quiet country road called Strada di Montalbuccio, maybe ten minutes from the historic center. And honestly, that’s the whole point. You get this authentic Tuscan farmhouse experience without being completely isolated from civilization.

The place feels like someone’s elegant country home that they’ve decided to share with travelers who actually appreciate good taste. I mean, this isn’t some sterile hotel chain – the stone walls have character, the gardens smell like lavender and rosemary, and you can hear actual silence at night instead of traffic. The rooms have that perfect balance of rustic charm and modern comfort that’s surprisingly hard to find. Think exposed beams and antique furniture, but also really good Wi-Fi and bathrooms that work properly. The 9.4 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s the kind of place where small details matter, like how they leave local honey at breakfast or the way the staff remembers your name after one conversation.

What I loved most was how it connects you to the real Tuscany without making you work too hard for it. Sure, you’ll want a car (parking is easy, by the way), but that just means you can explore those tiny hilltop villages that tour buses can’t reach, then come back to your peaceful retreat. The location on Montalbuccio puts you close enough to walk into Siena when you want that urban energy – the Duomo, the Piazza del Campo, all that medieval magic – but far enough out that you feel like you’re actually in the countryside. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the rolling hills? Yeah, it’s as good as it sounds, especially in late spring when everything’s green and the morning light hits just right. This isn’t a place for people who need constant entertainment or room service at midnight. It’s for travelers who want to slow down, appreciate the landscape, and experience how Tuscany actually feels when you’re not rushing between Instagram spots.

  Very nice place, every detail is nice. Giani is a fantastic host, explaining very clearly how go to Siena. I would recommend to go by bus, very easy, and you can use credit card (tap).
  It was a very good experience to stay in an old style house but the room and the bed are very comfortable and renewed.

  Beautiful room in an old farm house, around 20 mins walking distance from Siena town centre which was great for parking and ease to explore. No breakfast included but free coffee machine and kettle to use, super lovely host, clean and would stay again.

  We had a great stay. Beautiful gardens!!! Nice clean and comfortable room. Within 4 min. walk a busstop to take a bus to the center.
  And coming back from the busy town, to the hotel and sit in the great gazebo with the lemon and mandarin trees and hearing the bees buzz you can really relax.

  Peaceful spot a little out of town from Siena but within walking distance. The owner was very friendly and efficient. Large comfortable and clean room.
