Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about Palazzo Feroci? It’s tucked away on this tiny street – Via della Faggiola – that most tourists probably walk right past without noticing. I mean, you’re literally two minutes from the Leaning Tower madness, but somehow this little corner feels completely removed from all that chaos. The building itself is this gorgeous old palazzo that’s been converted into a boutique hotel, and honestly, they did it right. None of that fake historical stuff you see everywhere – this place actually feels like you’re staying in someone’s elegant Italian home from centuries past.

The location is pretty brilliant, actually. You’re close enough to hit all the main sights on foot (the Duomo complex is right there), but far enough from the tourist crowds that you can actually get some sleep at night. I loved that I could walk to this little bakery around the corner every morning – locals lined up there, which is always a good sign. The rooms have these incredible high ceilings and original details that make you feel like you’re living in some Renaissance painting, but they’ve managed to add modern touches without ruining the vibe. The bathrooms are particularly well done – marble everywhere, but not in that cold, sterile way. More like… warm and inviting, if that makes sense.

What really sets this place apart though is the staff’s approach. They’re not hovering or overly formal, but they clearly know their stuff about Pisa beyond just the obvious tourist traps. When I mentioned I was interested in good local food, the guy at reception didn’t just hand me a generic restaurant list – he actually drew me a little map to this osteria where I ended up having one of the best meals of my trip. Check-in was smooth, parking nearby is definitely doable (though you’ll want to ask them about the ZTL zones if you’re driving), and the whole experience just felt… effortless, I guess? That 9.5 rating isn’t just for show – you can tell this is a place that pays attention to details without making a big deal about it. If you want to experience Pisa like you actually live there, rather than just rushing through for tower photos, this is exactly the kind of place that makes that possible.

Perfect location in the centre of Pisa. Hosts are very helpful and make the stay really convenient. I stayed on 3rd floor Vaio room, a really spacious and unique room which had excellent A/C. Breakfast at the connecting cafe was super cute and tasty. Altogether, I fully recommend it!

Palazzo Feroci was excellent , lovely room in the loft , breakfast was very good , close to the leaning tower what more could ask for ?

What could be improved: The room we were in had a bath with a shower attachment (Vaio)not a problem for us, but others may not like having a separate shower.
