You know what struck me first about Numa Florence Vita? It’s actually on this quiet stretch of Viale Milton where you can hear yourself think – which, honestly, is pretty rare in Florence. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from the chaos around Santa Maria Novella station, but somehow this little pocket feels almost residential. The building itself has that solid, understated Italian elegance that doesn’t scream “tourist hotel” from the street.

The whole place runs on this clever app-based system that had me slightly panicked at first (I’m not exactly tech-savvy), but it’s actually brilliant once you get it. No hovering around reception desks or awkward small talk – just straight to your room. The rooms themselves are what I’d call thoughtfully minimal. Clean lines, decent-sized windows, and they’ve managed to fit everything you need without making it feel cramped. The beds are properly firm – not that squishy hotel nonsense that leaves you with a sore back. What really got me was the attention to small details: USB ports exactly where you need them, good lighting for reading, and blackout curtains that actually block out the morning sun (crucial if you’re dealing with jet lag).

The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Florence rather than just visiting it. There’s this fantastic little alimentari just around the corner where the owner – this elderly Florentine guy – will slice you the most incredible prosciutto while complaining about tourists in rapid Italian. Walk the other direction and you hit Via Nazionale, which connects you to pretty much everywhere you want to go. The Duomo is maybe a 15-minute stroll through some lovely side streets, and you can reach the Oltrarno without dealing with the madness of Ponte Vecchio if you know the right route. Speaking of getting around, the tram stop is right there, which locals actually use (unlike most tourist transport), and it’ll take you straight out to places like Scandicci if you want to escape the city center. The 8.9 rating makes total sense – it’s not trying to be flashy or Instagram-perfect, but everything just works the way it should. I’d definitely come back, especially during the shoulder seasons when Florence shows its real personality.

  Excellent place to stay with Family and centrally located next to Tram Station. No requirement of Taxi at this location.
  
  Professionally maintained and free locker service for a day is available.

  What could be improved: I complained of non working of electrical gas stove and requested for staff help however staff could not b provided.
  
  My recommendation is that during check-in assistance should b provided for functionality of facilities.
  
  Secondly the digital codes are convenient for entrance however the process of changing it should exist for further safety during stay of visitors

  Location is perfect. It is not very far from the city centre, you can walk or you can use tram, just two stations. It is very clean, matresses are comfy. Great that it has laundry room so you can get change of towels and even wash your loundry. There is nespresso maschine whith the capsules provided by Numa. Check-in and check-out runs smoothly with the code. Perfect stay.

  Elegant Apartment, I loved everything about it, the location and how the room was designed, the bed was so comfy, the 🛀 bath was so nice after a long day in the sun and loved the small garden..

  Great stay all around, wonderful clean flats on a quiet street, lots of space, beyond design, all the amenities (iron, ironing board, dishes, dishwasher etc), great service, laundry and lockers available in the property, central location. A GEM!!!
  
  What could be improved: The cleaners forgot to take trash out from previous clients in one of the bathrooms, but it wasn’t a big deal, I just took it out myself.

  It’s on the quiet side of the town so you can take a breather from the overwhelming tourists in town. It is close to some nice restaurants. So a nice choice if you have spending a couples days in town.
