Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Numa Florence Felice? The location is absolutely perfect, but not in that touristy way where you’re drowning in crowds. It’s tucked right on Piazza San Felice in the Santo Spirito neighborhood, which honestly feels like the Florence locals actually want you to discover. I mean, you’re still just a quick walk across the Ponte Vecchio to all the major sites, but when you come back in the evening, you’re in this genuinely charming area where people are having aperitivo at corner bars and kids are playing football in the piazza.
The hotel itself has this modern boutique feel – clean lines, contemporary design, but not trying too hard to be trendy. What I really appreciated was how quiet it actually gets at night. Santo Spirito has this lovely residential vibe once the dinner crowd thins out, so you’re not dealing with the constant buzz of Via de’ Tornabuoni or anything like that. The rooms are well-designed (they clearly thought about storage, which is rare), and the beds are legitimately comfortable – I’m talking proper sleep, not just “okay for a few nights” comfort. The bathrooms are sleek and modern, though if you’re particularly tall, the shower might feel a bit snug.
What really sets this place apart is the neighborhood knowledge you’ll gain just by staying here. The staff actually lives in Florence (shocking, I know), and they’ll point you toward places like Il Santo Bevitore for dinner or that little gelateria on Via Santo Spirito that doesn’t have a line of tourists but serves some of the best stracciatella in the city. You’re also perfectly positioned for morning walks through the Oltrarno artisan workshops before they get busy – there’s something magical about hearing the craftspeople start their day while you’re grabbing coffee at Ditta Artigianale around the corner. The 8.8 rating makes total sense to me because it delivers on what actually matters: location that feels authentic, comfortable spaces that work, and that sense of being in Florence rather than just visiting it. Sure, it’s not the cheapest option, but honestly, for a 4-star place in this part of the city, you’re getting solid value – especially considering you’ll spend way less time in transit to anywhere you actually want to go.

Exceptional – Αντουανεττα from Greece – 15 July 2025 (10/10)
Great stay in a vibrant area of Florence!
Check-in and check-out were super easy, and the staff was very helpful and responsive via messages. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very convenient — having three bathrooms was a big plus for our group of friends, as it saved us a lot of time getting ready. The beds were really large and comfortable.
The location is excellent — in a lively area with lots of people and activity even at night, which we enjoyed. While it could be a bit noisy in the evenings, it didn't bother us, and the apartment even provided earplugs, which was a thoughtful touch.
We had a wonderful time, and I’d definitely choose this place again when I return to Florence, whether with friends or family.Amazing room in a brilliant location – M from United Kingdom – 9 July 2025 (10/10)
Amazing room, so spacious with a gorgeous terrace. The bed was extremely comfortable. Loved the location, would 100% go back.
What could be improved: A lift would be niceLovely restored building close to Santo Spirito – Cole from United States – 8 July 2025 (10/10)
Perfect place for a short or medium length stay, location is hard to beat just up from Santo Spirito. Great little pizza place downstairs (to go wine!) and a cute cafe for breakfast just a few doors down. Able to store luggage ahead of check in and my room ended up being ready early. Had a top floor room that didn't share walls with anyone – great little view of the Pitti and light coming from multiple directions, beautiful fresco on the ceiling. AC worked great through a heat wave too. Whatsapp service for hotel needs was attentive and fast, I barely used but I imagine if you need more coffee or water for your room they'll resupply. Cozy bed … two twins pushed together which migrated a bit but was quite comfy.
What could be improved: Not things that would deter me but good to know – there is no staircase and I had a room on floor 4 which was rough with luggage but otherwise barely noticed. Wasn't an issue for me but there's no regular turn down service so if you're expecting to have daily cleaning just be tidy.Great location, spacious apartment and easy check in. – Charlotte from United Kingdom – 28 June 2025 (10/10)
Really easy walk to all of the attractions in Florence. Lovely and spacious, with lots of great facilities. Gorgeously decorated and authentic. Super easy to check in and out. Appreciated the lockers in the foyer too as we used them before and after check in to get rid of our bags in the 34 degree heat!
What could be improved: It was quite noisy at night as the bedrooms face out onto a road with bars.Beautiful spacious apartment close to public transport. No elevator but it’s doable – Marcia from South Africa – 21 June 2025 (10/10)
Gorgeous place. Very spacious. Right next to the pitti palace with a bus stop right outside.
What could be improved: No elevator (which they did say to be fair) but the 4th floor is harrowing after a day of sightseeing.Solid spot, a little pricey. Definitely a good spot for people who rather pay a little extra for a nicer spot. – Amit from Israel – 19 June 2025 (9/10)
Very clean, verg secured, wonderful location. Very good room, and laundry machine was for us an asset.
What could be improved: Service feels like everything is AI generated. No room service.Unforgettable experience that exceeded all expectations – Dafne from Belgium – 14 June 2025 (10/10)
We were BLOWN AWAY by our experience at Numa Florence Felice. They did everything they could possibly have done to make our experience enjoyable and luxurious. We appreciated every tiny detail – the clear communication (from reservation to checking in and checking out), the ideal location, the beautiful building (which was perfectly clean and airconditioned, and smelled heavenly), the lockers (which allowed us to explore the city unencumbered before our check-in time), the room (spacious, tastefully decorated, very quiet and comfortable – with a minifridge to boot, so super practical), the common kitchen, the bathroom (great water pressure and temperature!), the AC (we often sought refuge in our room in the afternoons – they were scorching in Florence this time of year)… Everything was ABSOLUTELY perfect. We'll never forget it and will definitely be staying with Numa in other cities as well.
What could be improved: Nothing – they completely exceeded our expectationsSuperb – Aleksandr from Serbia – 4 June 2025 (9/10)
The apartment is absolutely stunning — high ceilings, beautiful frescoes, elegant furniture, and gorgeous windows overlooking a charming street. Stylish and full of character! The location is perfect, with all the major sights within walking distance. There are also good parking options nearby and a few nice places for breakfast.
What could be improved: There’s no elevator (wasn’t an issue for us), and limited luggage storage after checkout. But overall, a fantastic stay with great memories!Superb – Megan from Australia – 31 May 2025 (9/10)
Beautiful apartment, very spacious and the comfiest bed and pillows we have found in Italy! Beautiful sunsets from the bedroom window 😍
What could be improved: We were on the top floor so there was a lot of stairs.. a big continual spiral staircase up 5 floors! After a few days hiking this was a challenge with luggage, would definitely advise to pack light 😅An excellent base to enjoy Florence – Vladimir from Estonia – 25 May 2025 (9/10)
The Numa apartments are located just behind the Pitti palace within an easy walk to Florence’s main attractions. You can get to the Ponte Vecchio within five minutes and reach the Duomo in 15 minutes.
The beautiful Boboli Gardens behind the Pitti palace are right next to you.
The apartment we had was big and spacious and had an excellent views of the city.
It was immaculately clean, had a comfortable bed and a great spacious tower.
Numa offered great customer service and was always quick to respond to queries.
The lack of an elevator could obviously be a problem for some.
We would love to come back.
