My room was spacious and thoughtfully designed — not just thrown together like some places do. The decor strikes this nice balance between modern comfort and Italian style without going overboard on either side. What I really appreciated was the attention to detail in the furnishings and the quality of everything from the linens to the bathroom fixtures. The windows let in plenty of natural light, and honestly, waking up here just feels right. Every element has been carefully selected to enhance your comfort and relaxation during your stay.

Breakfast Worth Getting Up For

Okay, so breakfast — this is where they really shine. They’ve got this incredible spread that covers basically every dietary need you can think of: Continental, Italian, Full English, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and American options. It’s set up buffet-style, which I usually find hit-or-miss, but they actually keep everything fresh and well-stocked. The Italian options are particularly good (I mean, you’re in Italy, right?), and the coffee is exactly what you’d hope for. The quality and variety make mornings something to look forward to.

  Room was delightfully decorated, bed was so comfortable, breakfast was delicious, both Marie and Nadia were so helpful and fun to deal with. Coffee was the best I’ve had in Italy. I was even allowed to bring in my own pillow even though Marie thought I was a strange Aussie for doing so! Ha ha. Highly recommend this place!

  Very friendly, hospitable, and helpful staff. We arrived a little early and were offered coffee, pastries and fruit while we waited to check in. The rooms were spacious and air-conditioned. A pleasant breakfast area, with a generous and varied breakfast, with both hot and cold dishes. Parking right outside the hotel, and a 5m walk to the walls of Lucca. A great find.

  Location was fine – 20 minute walk from the centre of Lucca. The hotel has its own, very individual style (see photos in app and on website). Breakfast was excellent – the usual Italian style is to have a small, sweet breakfast. The hotel offered this, but also a savoury selection – a major plus for us. Because of the very rainy weather on the day we checked out, we asked for, and received, a late check out time. Our thanks for the hotel's flexibility. Staff was very helpful in recommending restaurants and places to visit.

  The hotel was fabulous! Loved my room with balcony, the rustic features and art on the walls gave it a unique feel. Bed very comfy. All of the facilities were very clean and tidy. The ladies were very helpful with getting me a taxi and providing me with useful hints for the local area. The breakfast was lovely, fantastic food and lots of choice. Thanks again.

  The location was perfect for our 3 days in the beautiful Lucca. We live in Florence but have always wanted to visit this city.
  Maria was extremely sweet and helpful and we couldn't have asked for more. Breakfast was lovely with a lot of choice, which is quite remarkable considering it's a small 5 room hotels and run by 1 person.
  The rooms are exactly as the photos but even more quaint and beautiful in person. We could happily have stayed for any length of time and not needed anything differently. There was a beautiful bath tub in the room, which we used with the complimentary Prosecco that Maria had left for us, knowing it was our Anniversary.
  I've stayed all over Italy but rarely leave reviews. This place had it's own magic

  Maria and Nadia were the best hosts one can imagine – very welcoming, caring, generous and helpful in many different ways. The beautiful room, impressively decorated following an Arthurian theme, was perfect: really comfortable, stylish, quiet and very close to the historic centre. Enjoyable, lovely breakfast – a lot of choice – in a delightful garden yard.
