The address says Via San Lorentino, which honestly doesn’t sound like much when you’re booking online, but it’s actually tucked into this quiet residential pocket that feels worlds away from the tourist crowds clustering around Piazza Grande. I mean, you’re still close enough to walk to the main sights – the Basilica di San Francesco with those incredible Piero della Francesca frescoes is maybe a 12-minute stroll – but you get to come home to this genuinely peaceful street where locals are just going about their daily business.

The apartment itself has that lived-in comfort that’s hard to fake. Someone clearly put thought into the details here, and I’m not talking about generic hotel amenities. The kitchen actually has proper knives (travelers will understand why this matters), and the Wi-Fi doesn’t mysteriously cut out every time you try to video call home. The windows look out over typical Arezzo rooftops – those weathered terracotta tiles that photographers love – and in the mornings you hear church bells mixing with the occasional Vespa puttering by. It’s that authentic Italian soundtrack you hope for but rarely get when you’re stuck near the train station or main drags. The space feels generous too, which is saying something for Italian accommodations. You can actually unpack your suitcase without playing furniture Tetris.

What really sells me on this place, though, is how it sits in the neighborhood. There’s a little alimentari just down the street where the owner will slice prosciutto exactly how you want it, and honestly, building those small daily routines makes you feel less like a tourist passing through. The Saturday antique market in Piazza Grande becomes this thing you can casually wander to with your morning coffee instead of some rushed must-see checkbox. And here’s something practical – parking isn’t the nightmare it could be. The residential streets mean you’re not circling for an hour looking for a spot, which… well, anyone who’s driven in Italian historic centers knows that’s worth its weight in gold. The 9.4 rating makes perfect sense once you’re there a day or two. It’s not flashy or trying too hard, just genuinely comfortable and thoughtfully managed by people who seem to understand what makes a stay memorable.

  Clean and comfortable and very centrally located . Apartment was equipped with all amenities and even breakfast to help us enjoy our stay.
  
  What could be improved: Sometimes a bit noisy as you can hear cars or people shout down the street at night and neighbours with very loud TV until 2am but not a fault of the property obviously.

  Big and confortable apartment. 2 rooms, complete kitchen. Chiara, the owner, wait for us in the door to delivery keys and open the apartment. Gave us her phone number and always ready to give infos about the city. Restaurants and shops in the same street. 10 minutes from Old center. 15 minutes walking from train station.

  Located just inside city walls. Fairly spacious apartment with all necessities. Two tiny bathrooms and the kitchen is fairly small – but we were not intending to cook. However cooking would have been possible. There is an outside veranda with a washing machine on it. Lounge is roomy.
  
  What could be improved: Adding bedside tables and reading lights would have been nice. Mostly very good and homely.

  Die Lage ist einfach herrlich, mitten im Ort. Wir konnten ohne Probleme alles zu Fuß erreichen. Die Unterkunft war sauber, ordentlich und gemütlich. Damit hatten wir so nicht gerechnet. Die Gastgeberin und der Gastgeber waren sehr nette liebe Leute. Wir hatten einen Parkplatz, wie uns vorher mitgeteilt wurde, direkt in der Nähe der Unterkunft gefunden. Dann haben wir den Gastgeber angerufen, dieser war innerhalb 5 Minuten da. Er hat uns bei dem Gepäck geholfen und war auch sehr hilfsbereit bei der Parkplatz suche. Bei der Begrüßung fanden wir Wasser, Kaffee und Obst im Apartment.
  
  What could be improved: Leider die Parkplatz suche war ein bisschen anstrengend, wenn man aber eine Parkplatz in weißer Umrandung hatte, war alles wieder vergessen.

  Sehr gute Ausstattung, sogar Obst, Kaffee und Nudeln waren da. Durch die Fenster auf allen Seiten konnte man gut durchlüften, was die große Hitze nachts gemildert hat. Schattige Terrasse!
  
  What could be improved: Keine Klimaanlage war bei 38 Grad ein größeres Problem als wir gedacht hatten. Ein kleines Klimagerät konnte einen Raum etwas kühlen, aber insgesamt war es einfach sehr warm.
