Il Lebbio Agriresort Overview

First Impressions

When I first pulled up to Il Lebbio Agriresort, honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this four-star property tucked away in the Tuscan countryside. The drive through Montaione’s rolling hills had been gorgeous, but I was wondering if I’d made the right choice staying so far from the main tourist centers. Well, let me tell you — stepping out of the car and seeing this beautifully restored farmhouse surrounded by olive groves, I knew I’d struck gold. The parking situation is actually fantastic here, which might sound boring but trust me, after dealing with cramped city lots elsewhere in Italy, having your own free spot right on-site feels wonderful.

The Tuscan Setting

You know what really sets this place apart? It’s genuinely in the middle of working farmland, not some sanitized resort pretending to be rustic. Montaione itself is this sleepy little town that most tourists skip right over on their way to San Gimignano or Volterra — which honestly works in your favor. I spent mornings walking through actual vineyards and olive groves, and the views stretch for miles without a single tour bus in sight. The location gets crazy high ratings from guests, and I can see why. Couples especially seem to love it here, probably because there’s something undeniably romantic about having breakfast while looking out over those endless Tuscan hills.

Accommodations That Actually Feel Italian

My room had this perfect balance of rustic charm and modern comfort that so many places try for but rarely nail. The stone walls and wooden beams felt authentic — not like some designer’s idea of “Tuscan style” — but the bathroom was completely updated and the air conditioning actually worked (crucial for summer visits). What I really appreciated was how quiet everything was. I mean, you’re literally surrounded by countryside, so the only sounds at night are crickets and maybe the occasional owl. The housekeeping was spot-on too, which matters when you’re staying somewhere this remote.

Dining and Daily Rhythms

The on-site restaurant surprised me — I’d expected typical agriturismo fare, but the chef here really knows what they’re doing. They source ingredients from local farms (some probably within walking distance), and the wine list features bottles from vineyards you can literally see from your window. Breakfast happens on this gorgeous terrace overlooking the valley, and honestly, I found myself lingering way longer than usual just soaking it all in. The staff has this relaxed, unhurried approach that matches the setting perfectly — they’re helpful without being hovering, if you know what I mean.

Why Guests Love It

Look, if you’re the type who needs to be within walking distance of major attractions, this probably isn’t your place. But if you want to experience Tuscany the way it actually feels to live here — waking up to vineyard views, taking evening walks through olive groves, eating dinner made from ingredients grown down the road — then Il Lebbio delivers something really special. The high guest ratings make total sense once you’re here. It’s that rare spot where the reality actually matches the photos, and where you leave feeling like you’ve discovered something genuinely authentic rather than just another pretty hotel.

Exploring Tuscany layers sunflower valleys, Renaissance masterpieces, and midnight gelato strolls.

The place is beautiful, in traditional Tuscan style. The complex is on a hill above the village. Peaceful and romantic and cozy location.
An exceptional location with quick and easy access to all the attractions in Tuscany – Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Siena, San Gimiano and many more.
We were accommodated in a private house and nothing was missing in it. There was a fully equipped kitchen and dishes. The beds were comfortable and so were the pillows.
The hosts were kind and attentive to us, even though the complex was full for the Easter holidays.
There is secure parking on site and great restaurants nearby.
We had a great time and recommend to everyone. We will definitely be back again.
