The suite itself feels like someone’s elegant Italian grandmother decorated it – if she had impeccable taste and a serious budget. The marble bathroom is honestly spectacular, and there’s this little kitchenette that’s actually functional (not just for show like in so many boutique places). You’ll want to hit the local market on Via Garibaldi for fresh ingredients – it’s a two-minute walk and the vendors there are the real deal.

Here’s what I really loved: the staff actually knows the town. When I asked about dinner recommendations, they didn’t just hand me a generic list – they asked what I was in the mood for and sent me to this tiny osteria tucked away on Via Mazzini that I never would have found otherwise. Parking can be a bit tricky (welcome to Italian historic centers), but they sorted it out without making me feel like an idiot tourist. The whole experience felt personal in a way that’s getting harder to find these days. Plus, if you’re planning to explore the Versilia coast, you’re perfectly positioned – Forte dei Marmi is fifteen minutes away, but honestly, after spending time in Pietrasanta’s marble-lined streets and discovering those hidden sculptures around every corner, the beach scene feels almost too flashy. This place gets booked solid during marble festival season (late summer), so plan accordingly.

  The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel is on the main square in Pietrasanta. They had breakfast every morning that was so delicious as was the coffee! The patio was very comfortable and enjoyable to sit in and people and dog watch while having a drink or a bite to eat.

  Only a few rooms, but perfect. Adjacent to the cafe run by Michelangelo who manages the inn. Breakfast is whatever you choose from the varied treats in the cafe. Splendidly clean and comfortable rooms!
