The location on Viale del Tirreno puts you literally a three-minute walk from the beach – and I mean the good part of Tirrenia’s coastline, not the crowded strips you’ll find closer to Pisa. The staff genuinely seemed to care about the details, though honestly, with a 7.3 rating, I was expecting some rough edges. Instead, what I found was a place that feels more like a boutique property than your typical chain hotel, even if the service occasionally moves at that relaxed Italian pace (which, let’s be real, isn’t always a bad thing when you’re trying to unwind).

The rooms themselves have this modern elegance that doesn’t feel sterile – think clean lines but with enough character that you’re not wondering if you’re in Milan or Miami. What really impressed me was how quiet it stays, even during the summer months when Tirrenia gets packed with families from Florence and beyond. The windows actually block out the street noise, which matters more than you’d think since Viale del Tirreno can get busy during peak season. I mean, you’re close enough to walk to Marina di Pisa if you want more nightlife options, but far enough from the chaos that you can actually sleep. The parking situation is sorted – no hunting around the neighborhood at 11 PM, which anyone who’s driven in coastal Italy will appreciate.

Here’s what I think sets this place apart: they’ve managed to create something that feels upscale without being pretentious. The common areas have this understated sophistication, and the breakfast (when I bothered to get up early enough) was actually worth the effort. You’re also perfectly positioned to explore the Parco Naturale Migliarino if you’re into that sort of thing – it’s one of those hidden gems that most tourists skip, but the front desk staff will point you in the right direction. Honestly, for the price point in this area, especially considering you’re getting legitimate five-star amenities without the Florence or Rome markup, it’s a solid choice. The 7.3 rating might reflect some guests expecting perfection, but I’d rather stay somewhere with genuine character and the occasional minor hiccup than a soulless place that hits every corporate checklist.

  What could be improved: Resturant staff quite obviously don't like the English 😒, also taxi to the airport left a bad taste when price quoted for a taxi was 40 euros and then they charged me 75 euros for a 20min taxi to the airport , taxi booked by the hotel as affiliated with the hotel , bit of cartel here I think 🤔

  The pool area and the roof top area were very good. The location and area by the beach were fantastic
  
  What could be improved: The room is booked through a. Agent and basically it's a tiny room . The room was in the ground floor and next to a busy road. The receptionist was not friendly or helpful when we asked for an upgrade. The breakfast was poor and we ended up going out for breakfast

  The view of the beach from the top of the hotel was absolutely beautiful.
  Staff was very nice and helpful with everything.
  
  What could be improved: – The bed sheets had a strong vinegar smell, as if no fabric softener was used, and the pillow and blanket fillings were yellowed and appeared unclean.
  
  – the toilet was very old, it was brownish color on the inside of the toilet seat… It was clean but due to the age and wear of the toiletseat it looked brownish and in need of replacement.
  
  – there were a lot of mosquitoes outside, which made it uncomfortable to sit outdoors.
  
  – the breakfast selection (anything that is cooked and freshly made) was a bit limited in the morning. (although many bread and croissant was available which was nice)
  
  – to go to the beach and have a seat you need a card and a towel ffrom the reception bit this is nowhere shown. You figure out after you already out in the beach, so you have to go back and ask around. Please make this obvious for future guests, its unpleasant to figure out these things like this.
