You know what’s funny about Fattoria di Cinciano? I almost drove right past it the first time – it’s tucked away on this quiet country road about 10 minutes outside Poggibonsi, and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it perfect. The moment you pull through those gates (parking’s never an issue, by the way), you’re hit with this incredible view that stretches across the Chianti hills, and I mean, photos don’t do it justice. The building itself is this beautifully restored farmhouse that actually feels like someone’s elegant country home rather than a hotel – thick stone walls, terracotta floors that stay cool even in summer, and these massive wooden beams overhead that probably date back centuries.

The staff here gets it right in that understated Italian way. Check-in feels more like being welcomed into a friend’s place, and they’re genuinely helpful with local recommendations – not just the obvious tourist spots but places like the little enoteca in Poggibonsi where locals actually go, or the best times to visit San Gimignano (early morning, trust me on this). The rooms are spacious and thoughtfully designed, with modern bathrooms that work perfectly but don’t feel out of place in the historic setting. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – you’re far enough from any main roads that the only sounds are crickets and maybe the occasional owl. The pool area is where you’ll probably spend your afternoons, especially during the warmer months, and it’s positioned to catch both the morning sun and those incredible Tuscan sunsets.

Here’s the thing about staying at Fattoria di Cinciano – it strikes this perfect balance between being a peaceful retreat and actually being useful as a base for exploring the region. You’re close enough to hit Siena, Florence, or the Chianti wine towns without feeling like you’re spending your whole vacation in the car, but far enough away that when you come back in the evening, you feel like you’re escaping to somewhere special. The breakfast is worth mentioning too – fresh pastries, local honey, really good coffee, and they set it up on the terrace when weather permits. I’d definitely book this place again, especially if you’re the type who wants to experience Tuscany without dealing with crowded city centers every night. Just remember to rent a car – you’ll need it to get around, but honestly, driving through these hills is half the experience anyway.

  PHENOMENAL!!!! What an absolutely wonderful experience it was to stay here. The property is stunning, the rooms are beautiful and spacious (and we were in the most basic room option), the beds were so comfortable with the most lush pillows! Two pools, a beautiful vineyard, with the option to do a wine tour (highly recommend to find out more about the wine and the history of the property), an incredible restaurant and wonderful daily breakfast.
  
  One of the greatest highlights of this stay, however, was the staff. Every single person working there was warm, welcoming and accommodating. They were happy to help with any request, from before arriving they were in contact with restaurant options in the surrounding area as their restaurant was fully booked the first night. All their recommendations for food, parking, places to go and see were amazing.
  
  I would stay here again in a heartbeat and will be recommending it to anyone going to the area. Cannot wait to be back again

  Beautiful property. Felt very special. The pool was very appreciated after very hot days. Amazing views. Apartment had everything we needed. Comfortable beds. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was a great Tuscan base to explore surrounding smaller towns. (Need a car.)

  View was excellent. Location – fine, expensive to get a driver and taxi when I lost my driver license at the airport.
  Restaurant was extremely slow and seemed much more interested in the larger tables than the table of two women. That was a big disappointment, considering the cost.

  I really liked the excellent service and the warm hospitality—the staff were super kind. The breakfast was delicious, with a nice variety each morning. The daily cleaning was spotless, and everything felt fresh and well-maintained. The location was also perfect, with an excellent view that made the stay even more enjoyable.

  Our stay at Fattoria di Cinciano was something out of a dream! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home. They even helped transport our bags with a golf cart! The grounds were immaculate and stunning everywhere you looked—and we were obsessed with our historic and spacious room. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant, and both were delicious. We also enjoyed a wine tasting on site. The road leading to the property was small and windy (like many other roads in Tuscany) but it was nothing a skilled driver can't handle. Fattoria di Cinciano was also centrally located to many top attractions in the region. We hope to be back one day!!
