The building itself has this understated elegance – you know, the kind where you walk past thinking it’s just another historic Florentine facade until you’re actually inside and realize how thoughtfully everything’s been done.

The location is honestly what sold me initially. Via dei Servi is this narrow street that connects Piazza del Duomo to Piazza Santissima Annunziata, so you’re literally steps from the cathedral but tucked away from the main tourist chaos. I mean, you can hear the bells from the Duomo in the morning (which is actually pretty magical, not annoying like you’d think), but you’re not dealing with the crowds of street performers and tour groups right outside your window. The apartments themselves feel more like staying in a well-appointed friend’s place than a typical hotel – there’s real attention to detail in the furnishings, and honestly, the kitchenettes are better equipped than most rentals I’ve used. You’ve got proper espresso makers, not those capsule things, and the fridge is actually big enough to store more than just a bottle of wine.

What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to blend the historic character of the building with modern comfort. The ceilings are high and the windows are those beautiful old Florentine ones, but the Wi-Fi actually works everywhere and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a freight train. The staff – well, they’re more like local hosts really – seem to genuinely know the neighborhood. When I asked about avoiding the crowds at the Uffizi, the guy at reception didn’t just hand me a brochure; he told me exactly which entrance to use and what time to show up based on the day of the week. Little things like that make a difference, you know? The only minor thing I’d mention is that some of the apartments face the street, and while Via dei Servi isn’t a major thoroughfare, you do get some foot traffic noise during the day – though it dies down completely by evening. Honestly, for the location and the quality, that 8.6 rating feels about right, maybe even a bit conservative. If you’re the type who wants to actually live in Florence for a few days rather than just crash somewhere between tourist sites, this place gets it.

  A lovely apartment, only a short walk from the Duomo, the perfect location. Lots of restaurants close by and a supermarket down the street. The apartment itself was perfect for our stay and had a comfortable bed and good bathroom.

  it was close to the Duomo, like 5 minutes walk only. Close to restaurants and mini marts. I love the fact that there was a washing machine in the apartment and a clothes drying rack. There was also an elevator so it was easy to bring up heavy luggages.

  Plenty of room for the 4 of us. Great location! Close to sights and restaurants. We walked to/from the train station. Apartment was clean and beds comfy. Giovanni’s checked us in and was very helpful.

  Location cannot be beaten. The property itself is in a beautiful 600 year old building. All amenities worked as expected and we had a comfortable 4 night stay. Would stay again.
