First Impressions

Walking up Via di San Niccolò to find Apartments Lorenzo&Lorenzo, you’ll notice you’re in one of those authentic Florentine neighborhoods that still feels genuinely local. This four-star property sits right in the Oltrarno district — honestly, it’s hard to find a better spot if you want to experience the real Florence without being stuck in the tourist chaos around the Duomo. The building itself has that understated elegance you see throughout this part of the city, and when you step inside, there’s an immediate sense that someone actually cares about the details here.

The Perfect Location

You know what’s brilliant about this location? You’re literally steps from the Arno River, which means those evening walks along the water become part of your daily routine. The Pitti Palace is practically around the corner, and I mean that — it’s maybe a three-minute stroll. But here’s the thing couples seem to love most (they rate the location 9.4, which is pretty incredible): you can walk to all the major sites, yet when you come home in the evening, you’re in this quieter, more residential area where locals are still hanging laundry from their windows and chatting with neighbors.

The Apartment Experience

Each apartment feels more like staying in a well-appointed Florentine home than a typical hotel room. The beds here are genuinely comfortable — and I say this as someone who’s had their share of rock-hard European mattresses that leave you wondering if you slept on cobblestones. There’s proper space to spread out, which you’ll appreciate after spending days wandering through narrow medieval streets and crowded museums. The kitchen setup means you can actually grab fresh ingredients from the Sant’Ambrogio market (about a ten-minute walk) and prepare a simple meal, though honestly, with all the incredible trattorias nearby, you might not use it much.

Practical Comforts

Here’s something that’ll save you headaches: they have private parking available. If you’ve ever tried to navigate Florence’s ZTL zones with a rental car, you’ll understand why this is basically priceless. The staff genuinely knows the neighborhood — they’ll point you toward that little wine bar on Via de’ Bardi that doesn’t look like much from outside but serves some of the best Chianti you’ll taste. It’s these kinds of local insights that make the difference between a good trip and one you’ll actually remember.

Why Guests Love It

The combination really works here — you get the independence and space of an apartment with the service level of a solid four-star property. Couples especially seem drawn to the romantic potential of the location; imagine having your morning coffee while looking out at terracotta rooftops, then wandering down to browse the artisan workshops that still line these streets. The 8.7 rating reflects what you’ll discover: this isn’t about flashy amenities or over-the-top service, but rather about providing a genuine base for experiencing Florence the way it’s meant to be experienced — slowly, authentically, and with enough comfort to truly relax between adventures.

Apartments in Tuscany suit slow travelers with stone fireplaces, countryside terraces, and farmhouse kitchens.

The apartment is located in a quiet and casual neighborhood just west of the Arno River at the base of the Piazzale Michelangelo - the best place to watch the sunset over the picturesque Florence skyline. A fifteen minute walk to all of the tourist spots, Pointe Vecchio, Uffizi Gallery, etc. This is the perfect location for a couple that wants proximity to daytime activities and the ability to get away from the crowds as desired. There is a good variety of restaurants and cafes on this street and in the area.

We would definitely stay here again next time we visit Florence!
