Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of Florence apartments over the years, but this place on Piazza della Signoria? It’s honestly kind of ridiculous how perfect the location is. I mean, you literally wake up and look out at the Palazzo Vecchio – not some distant view of it, but right there in front of you like you’re living in a Renaissance postcard. The first morning I was there, I actually thought I was dreaming when I opened the shutters and saw the morning light hitting those ancient stones.

The apartment itself feels like someone took a historical palazzo and updated it without losing any of the charm. You know what I love? The ceilings are high enough that you feel the grandeur, but it’s not museum-cold – there’s actually good heating (crucial in Florence winters, trust me). The kitchen is properly equipped too, which matters because you’re about thirty seconds from the Mercato di Sant’Ambrogio if you want to grab fresh ingredients, though honestly, with all the restaurants right downstairs, cooking feels almost silly. I found myself making morning coffee and then wandering down to watch the street performers set up in the piazza – it’s like having a private box seat to the city’s daily theater.

What really sold me on this place is how it sits right in the sweet spot between tourist Florence and actual Florence. Yes, you’re in the most famous square in the city, but walk two minutes down Via dei Magazzini and you’re in neighborhoods where locals actually live and work. The Santa Maria Novella area has this great mix – you can stumble to the Uffizi in your pajamas (well, almost), but you’re also close enough to places like All’Antico Vinaio for those legendary sandwiches without fighting the crowds near the Duomo. Parking is… well, it’s Florence, so forget about that, but the location means you genuinely don’t need a car anyway. I walked everywhere or caught the bus from nearby stops. The only thing I’d mention is that weekend nights can get a bit lively in the piazza – nothing crazy, just the usual mix of tourists and locals enjoying the evening – but honestly, I kind of loved falling asleep to the sound of the city humming below. With a 9.6 rating, you know other people are figuring this out too, so I’d book sooner rather than later if you want those piazza views.

  This apartment was perfect, right in the city center, yet surprisingly quiet and peaceful. The decor is elegant and modern, and everything felt brand new, especially the appliances. Super comfortable, spotless, and just steps from all the main sights. I’d definitely stay here again!

  The apartment was great. Very professional and friendly staff. The location is the best. Everything is within walking distance: attractions, restaurants, supermarkets, shops. The apartment is equipped with everything you need. Lots of dishes and kitchen utensils. Comfortable bathrooms. Good mattresses and white bed linen. Very clean. The view from the window to Piazza Signoria is fantastic. It was a fabulous week.

  Pleasant modern, clean apartment. Great location right in the heart of Florence so central to bars, cafes, restaurants and shops. Cafe opposite apartment does nice food & coffee. Quiet at night. Stayed in January so wasn’t busy season.
